Setup

Before you begin, ensure all items are present in the package:

Installing Batteries

The controller requires 2 AA batteries for wireless operation. To install:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the controller.
  2. Remove the battery cover.
  3. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Replace the battery cover.

Connecting the Controller

The VULKAN controller offers three connection methods:

2.4 GHz Wireless (for PC, Steam, VR)

  1. Locate the 2.4 GHz wireless dongle inside the battery compartment.
  2. Plug the dongle into an available USB port on your PC, Steam device, or VR system.
  3. Turn on the controller. The controller should automatically connect to the dongle.

Bluetooth (for Android, VR)

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your Android device or VR system.
  2. Put the controller into Bluetooth pairing mode (refer to the quick start guide for specific button combinations, typically holding a specific button until an indicator light flashes).
  3. On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "Bionik VULKAN" to pair.

Wired Connection (for PC, Android)

  1. Connect the Micro-USB end of the included cable to the port on the front of the controller.
  2. Connect the USB-A end of the cable to an available USB port on your PC or Android device.
  3. The controller will automatically switch to wired mode.

Operating Instructions

Programmable Rear Paddles

The VULKAN controller features four programmable rear paddles (L4, L5, R4, R5) that can be mapped to other buttons for quick access during gameplay.

  1. To program a paddle, locate the small switches on the back of the controller, near the paddles.
  2. Select the desired paddle (e.g., L4) and the button you wish to map it to (e.g., 'A' button).
  3. Refer to the quick start guide for the exact programming sequence, which typically involves holding a program button, pressing the paddle, then pressing the target button.
  4. The paddles can be switched off if not desired for a specific game.

Interchangeable Joystick Caps

Customize your control feel with three different types of joystick caps:

To change caps, gently twist and pull the existing cap off the joystick, then align and push the desired cap onto the joystick until it clicks into place.
