Setup

1. Charging the Battery

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the back of the VL81 LED light.
2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the light and plug the other end into a USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer, power bank).
3. The charging indicator lights (red LEDs) will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
4. A full charge typically takes approximately 2.5 hours.

2. Mounting the LED Light

The VL81 offers flexible mounting options:

• Cold Shoe Mount: The light features a standard cold shoe adapter at its base. Slide this into the cold shoe receiver on your camera, camera cage, or smartphone rig. Tighten the locking wheel for a secure fit.
• 1/4" Screw Thread: The cold shoe adapter also includes a 1/4" screw thread, allowing you to mount the light directly onto tripods, light stands, or other accessories with a 1/4" screw.
• Accessory Cold Shoe Ports: The VL81 has three additional cold shoe ports (one on each side). These allow you to attach other accessories such as microphones, additional LED lights, or monitors.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

• To turn on the light, rotate the Power/Brightness Control Dial (marked with a power symbol) clockwise.
• To turn off the light, rotate the Power/Brightness Control Dial counter-clockwise until it clicks off.

2. Adjusting Brightness

• Once the light is on, continue rotating the Power/Brightness Control Dial clockwise to increase brightness.
• Rotate the dial counter-clockwise to decrease brightness.

3. Adjusting Color Temperature

• Locate the Color Temperature Control Dial (marked with "CT") on the back of the light.
• Rotate the dial clockwise to increase the color temperature (cooler light, towards 5600K).
• Rotate the dial counter-clockwise to decrease the color temperature (warmer light, towards 3200K).

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the LED light. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods (e.g., once every 3 months).
• Storage: Store the light in a protective case or bag to prevent scratches and damage. Keep it away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
