The DCT Wireless Outdoor Security Camera (Model CG1) is a battery-powered, 2K resolution camera designed for both indoor and outdoor surveillance. It features magnetic mounting for easy installation, 2K color night vision, advanced AI and PIR motion detection, two-way audio, a spotlight, and an alarm. The camera is IP65 weatherproof and supports local SD card storage (up to 128GB, not included) and cloud storage options.

Setup

1. Charging the Camera

Before initial use, fully charge the camera using the provided charging cable. A full charge can provide 1 to 5 months of operation depending on usage and settings.

2. App Installation

Download the "VicoHome" application from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store). Follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and log in.

3. Connecting to Wi-Fi

Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. This camera is only compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Open the VicoHome app, tap to add a new device, and follow the in-app instructions to connect your camera to your home Wi-Fi network. You will typically scan a QR code generated by the app with the camera's lens.

4. Mounting the Camera

The camera features a strong magnetic mount for easy installation. Choose a suitable location outdoors or indoors, ensuring a stable surface for the magnetic base. The camera can be easily attached to and detached from the magnetic base, allowing for flexible positioning and adjustment without drilling.

Operating Instructions

1. Live Video Viewing

Access the VicoHome app on your mobile phone to view live 2K HD video from your camera anytime, anywhere. The app provides a real-time feed of the camera's view.

2. Smart AI & PIR Motion Detection

The camera utilizes advanced AI and PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors to detect motion within its range. It can intelligently distinguish between people, pets, vehicles, and packages. Upon detection, a notification will be sent to your phone via the VicoHome app.

3. Full Color Night Vision and 2K HD Live Video

The camera offers two night vision modes: full color night vision and infrared night vision, with a visual range of 33 feet. These modes enable the camera to capture clear 4MP color images and videos even in low-light conditions.

4. Two-Way Audio & Smart Instant Siren

Equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker, the camera supports two-way audio communication through the VicoHome app. This allows you to speak with visitors or deter unwanted individuals. The camera also features an integrated siren and flashing white lights that can be activated automatically upon motion detection or manually via the app to act as a deterrent.

5. SD/Cloud Storage & Multiple-user Sharing

All motion detection videos can be stored locally on a Micro SD Card (supports up to 128GB, not included) or via Cloud Storage. The product includes a free rolling 3-day cycled cloud storage service without requiring a subscription. You can share access to the camera's live feed and recordings with up to 8 other users through the VicoHome app.

Maintenance

1. Battery Management

To maximize battery life, ensure the camera is fully charged before deployment. Battery performance varies based on recording frequency, live view usage, and environmental temperature. Recharge the camera when the battery level is low, as indicated in the VicoHome app.

2. Cleaning

Periodically clean the camera lens and body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or water spots that may affect image clarity. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

3. Weather Resistance

The camera has an IP65 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust and low-pressure water jets. While designed for outdoor use in various weather conditions, extreme temperatures or prolonged submersion should be avoided to prevent damage.
