4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation and Charging

The WORKPRO Reciprocating Saw is powered by a 20V 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.

  1. To install the battery, align the battery pack with the base of the saw handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
  2. To remove the battery, press the release button located on the battery pack and slide the battery out.
  3. To charge the battery, connect the 4.0A Quick Charger to a power outlet. Insert the battery pack into the charger. The indicator lights on the charger will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

4.2. Blade Installation and Removal

The tool-free blade release chuck allows for quick and easy blade changes.

  1. Ensure the saw is turned off and the safety lock is engaged.
  2. Rotate the chuck counterclockwise to open the blade holder.
  3. Insert the shank of the desired saw blade into the chuck until it is fully seated. The blade will lock automatically.
  4. To remove a blade, rotate the chuck counterclockwise and pull the blade out.

4.3. Shoe Adjustment

The pivoting shoe can be adjusted to provide different cutting angles and support.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Powering On/Off and Variable Speed Control

The saw features a stepless variable speed trigger for precise control.

  1. To start the saw, disengage the safety lock (if engaged) and press the variable speed trigger.
  2. The cutting speed is controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger. More pressure results in higher SPM (Strokes Per Minute), up to 2800 SPM.
  3. To stop the saw, release the trigger. Engage the safety lock when not in use.
  4. An integrated LED light illuminates the work surface when the trigger is pressed, improving visibility in dark areas.
