Maintenance
Proper maintenance will extend the life and functionality of your Master Lock padlock.
- Cleaning: Wipe the padlock body and shackle with a clean, dry cloth periodically to remove dust and grime. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Lubrication: If the keyway or shackle mechanism becomes stiff, apply a small amount of graphite lubricant or a silicone-based lubricant specifically designed for locks into the keyway. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.
