4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the ukulele from its deluxe soft case. Inspect the instrument for any signs of damage during transit. Keep all packaging materials in case the instrument needs to be returned or stored.
4.2 Tuning
Before playing, your ukulele needs to be tuned. Use the included tuner by clipping it onto the headstock. The standard tuning for a tenor ukulele is G-C-E-A (from the fourth string to the first string). Adjust the 1:18 die-casting tuners until each string is accurately tuned.

4.3 AcousticPlus Pickup System
The AcousticPlus system allows you to add effects without an amplifier. Ensure the system is charged. While a charging block is not included, the system typically charges via a standard USB cable or through the 1/4" output jack when connected to a compatible power source. Refer to the AcousticPlus system's specific instructions for charging details.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Playing the Ukulele
Hold the ukulele comfortably against your body. Use your right hand (if right-handed) to strum or pluck the strings over the soundhole, and your left hand to press down on the strings against the fretboard to form chords.
5.2 Using the AcousticPlus Pickup
The AcousticPlus system features controls for Volume, Reverb, and Effects (Chorus/Delay). These controls are located on the side of the ukulele body.
- Volume: Adjusts the overall output level of the pickup.
- Reverb: Adds a spacious, echoing effect to your sound.
- Effects: Controls the intensity of chorus or delay, depending on the selected mode.
Experiment with these controls to find your desired sound. The system can be used acoustically (without an amplifier) or connected to an amplifier via the 1/4" output jack for amplified sound with effects.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe down your ukulele with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove sweat and oils. For a deeper clean, use a specialized instrument polish sparingly. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
6.2 String Replacement
Strings should be replaced periodically as they wear out or lose their tone. Use the included J87 tenor strings or other high-quality tenor ukulele strings. When replacing strings, change them one at a time to maintain tension on the neck and bridge.
6.3 Storage
Always store your ukulele in its deluxe soft case when not in use. This protects it from dust, humidity changes, and physical damage. Avoid exposing the ukulele to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Enya Ukulele, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Ukulele won't stay in tune | New strings stretching, improper winding, worn tuners, environmental changes. | Stretch new strings gently, ensure proper winding around tuning posts, check tuner screws for tightness, allow ukulele to acclimate to environment. |
| Buzzing sound from strings | Low action, uneven frets, loose internal components (especially with AcousticPlus system). | Check string height at nut and bridge. If buzzing persists or is related to the AcousticPlus system, contact customer support. |
| AcousticPlus pickup not working | Battery low/dead, loose connection, system malfunction. | Ensure the AcousticPlus system is fully charged. Check cable connections. If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
