5. Setup

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Playing a Vinyl Record
- Power On: Turn the POWER/VOLUME knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
- Select Phono Mode: Turn the FUNCTION knob to PHONO.
- Place Record: Place a vinyl record on the turntable platter.
- Select Speed: Set the SPEED SELECTOR to the appropriate speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) for your record. For 45 RPM records, place the included 45 RPM adapter on the center spindle.
- Start Playback: Lift the tone arm using the cue lever and gently move it over the desired track of the record. Lower the cue lever to slowly drop the tone arm onto the record.
- Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the POWER/VOLUME knob.
- Auto-Stop: The turntable will automatically stop spinning when the record finishes. To stop manually, lift the tone arm and return it to the tone arm rest.

6.2 Bluetooth Input (Streaming from a Smart Device)
- Power On: Turn the POWER/VOLUME knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
- Select Bluetooth IN Mode: Turn the FUNCTION knob to BT IN. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
- Pair Device: On your smart device, enable Bluetooth and search for "Victrola Journey+". Select it to pair. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid.
- Play Music: Start playing music on your smart device. Audio will stream through the record player's built-in speakers.
- Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the POWER/VOLUME knob on the record player and/or your smart device.

6.3 Bluetooth Output (Vinyl Stream to External Bluetooth Speaker)
The Victrola Journey+ features Vinyl Stream technology, allowing you to stream your vinyl playback to an external Bluetooth speaker.
- Power On: Turn the POWER/VOLUME knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
- Select Bluetooth OUT Mode: Turn the FUNCTION knob to BT OUT. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
- Enable Pairing on External Speaker: Put your external Bluetooth speaker into pairing mode (refer to your speaker's manual for instructions).
- Pairing: The record player will automatically search for and connect to the nearest Bluetooth speaker in pairing mode. Once connected, the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid.
- Play Record: Follow the steps in Section 6.1 to play a vinyl record. The audio will now stream to your external Bluetooth speaker.
- Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume on your external Bluetooth speaker. The record player's volume knob will not control the output volume in BT OUT mode.
6.4 Using the Headphone Jack
For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm headphones into the HEADPHONE jack on the unit. The built-in speakers will automatically mute.
6.5 Using the Aux-In Jack
To play audio from an external device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone without Bluetooth), connect it to the AUX IN jack using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). Select AUX mode using the FUNCTION knob.
6.6 Using the RCA Output
To connect your record player to an external amplifier or powered speakers, use an RCA cable (not included) to connect the RCA OUT jacks on the back of the record player to the audio input of your external system. Ensure the external system is set to the correct input. The record player's volume control will not affect the RCA output volume.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
