5.2 Frothing Milk
The integrated steam wand allows you to create creamy milk foam for lattes and cappuccinos.
- Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to about one-third full.
- Position Steam Wand: Submerge the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk.
- Activate Steam: Turn the control knob to the steam position (right). The machine will begin to produce steam.
- Froth Milk: Move the pitcher up and down slowly, keeping the steam wand tip just below the surface to create foam. Once the desired texture and temperature are reached, turn the control knob back to the standby position (middle).
- Clean Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying. Briefly release steam into an empty cup to clear any internal blockages.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your espresso machine.
6.1 Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the removable drip tray and drip plate after each use.
- Portafilter & Filter Basket: Remove spent coffee grounds and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under warm water.
- Steam Wand: Wipe immediately after frothing milk. Briefly purge steam to clear any internal milk residue.
- Water Tank: Rinse the water tank daily and refill with fresh water.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

6.2 Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions.
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
- Place a large container under the coffee outlet and steam wand.
- Run half of the solution through the coffee brewing cycle (without coffee).
- Run the remaining half through the steam wand.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill with fresh water.
- Run several full tanks of fresh water through both the coffee outlet and steam wand to rinse the machine completely.
7. Troubleshooting
