4. Setup

5. Operating Instructions

5.4 Cross Cuts
Cross cuts are made across the grain of the wood.
- Use the miter gauge for cross cuts. Never use the rip fence for cross cuts unless a sacrificial fence is used to prevent pinching.
- Set the miter gauge to the desired angle (typically 90 degrees for straight cuts).
- Place the workpiece against the miter gauge and flat on the table.
- Turn on the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed.
- Push the miter gauge and workpiece together through the blade.
