4. Setup and Installation
The JOOM floating shelf is designed for wall mounting. Follow these steps for secure installation:
- Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location. Ensure there are no hidden electrical wires or plumbing in the drilling area.
- Mark Drilling Points: Hold the shelf against the wall at the desired height and use a pencil to mark the positions for the mounting holes. Ensure the marks are level.

- Insert Wall Anchors: For drywall or concrete, insert appropriate wall anchors into the drilled holes. For wood studs, anchors may not be necessary.
- Mount the Shelf: Align the shelf's mounting holes with the drilled holes/anchors. Insert the screws through the shelf and into the wall/anchors.
- Secure the Shelf: Tighten the screws until the shelf is firmly secured to the wall. Do not overtighten.

Solution: Ensure the shelf is installed level. Avoid placing items that are unstable or have a high center of gravity near the edge.
