4. Setup and Installation
The CIARRA CBCB6736D range hood is designed for wall-mounted installation and supports both ducted extraction and recirculation modes.
4.1 Pre-Installation Considerations
- Ensure sufficient clearance above the cooking surface as per local regulations (typically 65-75 cm).
- Confirm the wall structure can support the weight of the hood (8.6 kg).
- Plan for electrical connection (220 Volts).
4.2 Mounting the Hood
- Mark the drilling points on the wall using the provided template or the hood's dimensions.
- Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the wall.
- Carefully lift and attach the range hood to the mounting bracket.
- Connect the power supply.

4.3 Ventilation Modes
Your range hood supports two operational modes:
- Ducted Extraction Mode: Air is extracted from the kitchen, filtered through the aluminum grease filters, and expelled outside through the 1.5-meter exhaust duct. Carbon filters are not required for this mode.
- Recirculation Mode: Air is drawn into the hood, filtered through both the aluminum grease filters and the CBCF002X2 carbon filters to remove odors, and then recirculated back into the kitchen. This mode is ideal when external venting is not possible.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your range hood.
6.1 Cleaning the Hood Exterior
- Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, corrosive detergents, or stiff brushes.
6.2 Cleaning/Replacing Grease Filters
The aluminum grease filters should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to maintain efficiency.
- To remove, push the latch on the filter and pull downwards.
- Wash the filters by hand in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher.
- Allow filters to dry completely before re-installing.

6.3 Replacing Carbon Filters (CBCF002X2)
If using the recirculation mode, the carbon filters (CBCF002X2) need to be replaced every 3-6 months, depending on usage. They cannot be washed.
- Remove the aluminum grease filters.
- Twist the used carbon filters counter-clockwise to detach them from the motor housing.
- Install new CBCF002X2 carbon filters by aligning them and twisting clockwise until secure.
- Re-install the aluminum grease filters.
