1. Introduction

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Philips Hue Light Strip Plus:

1. Prepare the Surface: Measure the surface where you intend to install the light strip. Ensure the surface is clean and dry to allow for proper adhesion.
2. Extend the Light Strip (Optional): If you need a longer strip, you can extend it by connecting additional Philips Hue Light Strip Plus extensions (sold separately). Simply click the ends of the strips together. The strip can be extended up to 33 feet (10 meters).

3. Cut to Size (Optional): The light strip can be cut to your preferred size at designated scissor marks. Ensure you only cut at these marks to avoid damaging the strip.

4. Apply the Light Strip: Remove the backing tape from behind the light strip. Carefully press the strip firmly against the prepared surface, ensuring good contact. Avoid bending the strip beyond 90 degrees to prevent damage.
5. Connect Power: Plug the light strip into the provided power plug.
6. Download the Hue App: Download the Philips Hue app from your device's app store.
7. Pair with Hue App (Bluetooth): Open the Hue app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your light strip via Bluetooth. This allows for instant control of up to 10 lights in one room.
8. Connect to Hue Bridge (Optional): For full smart home capabilities, including control from anywhere, automations, and support for up to 50 lights, connect your light strip to a Philips Hue Bridge (sold separately).

• Bluetooth vs. Hue Bridge:
  • Bluetooth: Control up to 10 lights in a single room instantly. Ideal for basic control without a bridge.
  • Hue Bridge (Sold Separately): Unlock advanced features such as controlling up to 50 lights and accessories, setting automations, and controlling your lights from anywhere in the world. The Hue Bridge also enables compatibility with Apple HomeKit and Matter.

5. Maintenance

• Adhesion: If the adhesive begins to weaken over time, especially in areas with temperature fluctuations, you may reinforce it with additional adhesive strips or mounting clips (not included).
• Storage: If removing the light strip for storage, ensure it is clean and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid sharp bends or kinks that could damage the internal wiring.
