Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient use of your Phlizon Linear Series PH-1000 SMD LED Plant Grow Light. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation to ensure optimal performance and plant growth.
Important Safety Instructions
- Always disconnect the power supply before installation, maintenance, or cleaning.
- Do not look directly at the operating LED lights without proper eye protection. The intense light can cause eye strain or damage.
- Ensure the grow light is installed in a well-ventilated area to prevent heat buildup.
- This product is designed for indoor use. Do not expose it to outdoor elements unless specifically rated for such conditions.
- Keep the light away from water sources and flammable materials. Although rated IP65 waterproof, direct submersion or high-pressure water jets should be avoided.
- Do not attempt to modify or disassemble the unit beyond the instructions provided in this manual. Unauthorized modifications may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
- Ensure the power cord is not damaged, pinched, or walked on.

Setup Instructions
- Unpack the Grow Light: Carefully remove the grow light and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Attach Hanging Kit: Securely attach the provided hanging ropes and carabiners to the designated mounting points on the grow light fixture.
- Mount the Light: Hang the grow light in your desired growing area using a sturdy support structure. Ensure the light is level and securely fastened.
- Adjust Hanging Height: The optimal hanging height varies depending on the plant growth stage and desired light intensity. Refer to the PPFD chart below for guidance.

Figure 3: PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) values at various hanging heights (12", 18", 24") for the PH-2000 model, providing a reference for PH-1000 placement.
- For seedlings/clones: Higher hanging height, lower dimmer setting.
- For vegetative growth: Medium hanging height, moderate dimmer setting.
- For flowering/fruiting: Lower hanging height, higher dimmer setting.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into the grow light's power input, then plug the other end into a standard 100-240V AC electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Once plugged in, the light can be turned on. Some models may have an integrated switch or rely on the dimmer for power control.
- Adjust Brightness (Dimmer): The PH-1000 features a built-in dimmer knob. Rotate the knob to adjust the light intensity from 0% to 100%. Start with a lower intensity for young plants and gradually increase as plants mature.
- Light Cycle: Establish an appropriate light cycle (e.g., 18 hours on / 6 hours off for vegetative growth, 12 hours on / 12 hours off for flowering) using an external timer (not included). The light does not completely shut off via the dimmer, so a timer is recommended for precise light cycles.
- Full Spectrum Output: The PH-1000 provides a full spectrum light, including blue (400-499nm), green (500-599nm), red (600-700nm), UV (380-399nm), and IR (701-780nm) wavelengths, optimized for all stages of plant growth.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the surface of the grow light with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Ensure the light is unplugged before cleaning. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Cooling System: The PH-1000 utilizes an all-aluminum radiator for passive cooling, eliminating the need for noisy fans. Ensure the cooling fins are not obstructed to maintain efficient heat dissipation.

Figure 5: Comparison of cooling designs, highlighting the PH-1000's upgraded all-aluminum radiator for silent and efficient heat management.
- Water Resistance: The light has an IP65 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. This allows for safe operation in humid environments and easy cleaning.

Figure 6: Illustration of the IP65 waterproof rating, demonstrating protection against water splashes.
- Power Supply Replacement: In the event of a power supply malfunction, the modular design allows for easy replacement.

Figure 7: Step-by-step guide for replacing the power supply unit: 1. Unscrew 4pcs screws, 2. Remove the power supply, 3. Install a new power supply.
Procedure:
- Disconnect the light from the power source.
- Unscrew the four retaining screws on the power supply unit.
- Carefully remove the old power supply.
- Install the new power supply, ensuring all connections are secure, and fasten the screws.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power, loose connection, dimmer set to 0%, faulty power supply. | Check power outlet, ensure power cord is securely plugged in, rotate dimmer knob, inspect power supply connections or replace if faulty. |
| Light intensity is too low. | Dimmer setting is too low, incorrect hanging height. | Increase dimmer setting, lower the hanging height according to plant needs (refer to PPFD chart). |
| Light flickers or behaves erratically. | Unstable power supply, loose internal wiring, faulty dimmer. | Ensure stable power source, check power cord connections, contact customer support if problem persists. |
| Excessive heat from the fixture. | Poor ventilation, obstructed cooling fins. | Ensure adequate airflow around the fixture, clear any obstructions from the cooling fins. |
