This compact unit provides a 1.5-inch digital LCD display with dimmer control, a digital AM/FM tuner, Bluetooth connectivity, dual alarms, and a USB charging port.

Important Safety Instructions

To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, please read and follow these instructions carefully:

Setup

Power Connection:

1. Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit for battery backup. This will preserve time and alarm settings during a power outage.
2. Connect the supplied AC adaptor to the DC IN jack on the back of the unit.
3. Plug the AC adaptor into a standard 120V AC wall outlet. The unit will power on and the display will light up.

Setting the Clock:

1. In standby mode, press and hold the TIME/PAIR button until the hour digits flash on the display.
2. Press the CLK/ALM SET- or CLK/ALM SET+ buttons to adjust the hour. Press and hold for faster adjustment.
3. Press the TIME/PAIR button again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
4. Press the CLK/ALM SET- or CLK/ALM SET+ buttons to adjust the minutes.
5. Press the TIME/PAIR button one more time to save the time setting.

Daylight Saving Time (DST):

To adjust for Daylight Saving Time, press the DST button. The time will advance or go back by one hour. Press again to revert.

Operating Instructions

Radio Operation (AM/FM):

1. Press the SOURCE/STANDBY button to turn on the unit.
2. Press the SOURCE/STANDBY button repeatedly to select either FM or AM radio mode. The selected mode will appear on the display.
3. Rotate the VOLUME/TUNING knob on the side to manually tune to your desired radio station.
4. To auto-scan for the next available station, press and hold the CLK/ALM SET- or CLK/ALM SET+ buttons.
5. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME/TUNING knob.

Saving and Recalling Presets:

• Tune to the desired station.
• Press the MEM/MEM+ button. "P01" will flash on the display.
• Press CLK/ALM SET- or CLK/ALM SET+ to select the desired preset number (P01-P10 for FM, P01-P10 for AM).
• Press MEM/MEM+ again to save the station to the selected preset.
• To recall a preset, press MEM/MEM+ repeatedly to cycle through saved stations.

Bluetooth Operation:

1. Press the SOURCE/STANDBY button to turn on the unit.
2. Press the SOURCE/STANDBY button repeatedly until "BT" appears on the display, indicating Bluetooth mode. The unit will automatically enter pairing mode, and "BT" will flash.
3. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet and search for available devices.
4. Select "SB3500" from the list of devices. Once paired, "BT" will stop flashing and a confirmation tone will sound.
5. You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device to the SB3500.
6. Adjust volume using the unit's VOLUME/TUNING knob or your connected device.

Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 & Alarm 2):

1. Press and hold the ALARM1 or ALARM2 button until the alarm hour digits flash.
2. Press CLK/ALM SET- or CLK/ALM SET+ to adjust the alarm hour.
3. Press the respective ALARM1 or ALARM2 button again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting.
4. Press CLK/ALM SET- or CLK/ALM SET+ to adjust the alarm minutes.
5. Press the respective ALARM1 or ALARM2 button again to select the alarm source (Buzzer or FM/AM Radio).
6. Press the respective ALARM1 or ALARM2 button one more time to save the alarm setting. The alarm icon will appear on the display.

Activating/Deactivating Alarms:

Press the ALARM1 or ALARM2 button briefly to toggle the alarm on or off. The alarm icon will appear when active and disappear when deactivated.

Snooze Function:

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER bar to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes.

Sleep Function:

While the unit is on, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER bar repeatedly to set a sleep timer (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, or OFF). The unit will automatically turn off after the selected time.

USB Charging Port:

The USB port on the back of the unit is for charging external devices (e.g., smartphones). Connect your device's USB charging cable to this port. Note that this port is for charging only and does not support data transfer.

Aux-in Connection:

To play audio from an external device (e.g., MP3 player, older smartphone), connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from the device's headphone jack to the AUX-IN jack on the back of the SB3500. Press the SOURCE/STANDBY button until "AUX" appears on the display. Control playback from your external device.

Display Dimmer:

In standby mode, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER bar repeatedly to adjust the brightness of the LCD display to your preference.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit:

• Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

Battery Care:

• Remove batteries if the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time to prevent leakage and corrosion.
• Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
