Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Waterdrop DST Under Sink Water Filter System. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and longevity of your system.
Product Overview and Key Features
The Waterdrop DST Under Sink Water Filter System is designed to provide clean, great-tasting water directly from your faucet. It features a durable 304 stainless steel housing and a multi-stage filtration process.
Enhanced Filtration with Silver Ions
The system incorporates silver ions to inhibit the growth of harmful substances, ensuring your drinking water remains safe and fresh.

Durable and Safe Construction
Constructed from lead-free 304 stainless steel, the system housing is corrosion-proof and compression-proof. All materials are safe and reliable for healthy drinking water. The system has undergone extensive testing, including 100,000 water hammer tests and salt spray tests, to ensure durability and prevent leaks or rust.

Efficient Multi-Stage Filtration
The activated carbon block and PP cotton filters effectively reduce chlorine, PFOA/PFOS, lead, rust, and large particles, while also improving taste and odor. The filtration process is certified to NSF/ANSI 372 standards.

Long-Life Filters
The first-stage filter (DSP1) has a lifespan of up to 8 months, and the second-stage filter (DSC2) lasts up to 12 months. Only the inner filter elements need replacement, reducing waste.

Dedicated Faucet
The system includes a dedicated 304 stainless steel faucet with a sleek brushed appearance, designed for easy installation with a 1-inch hole size.

Setup and Installation
The Waterdrop DST system is designed for easy, drill-free installation, connecting directly to your existing cold water line. It is compatible with both 1/2" and 3/8" cold water pipes and faucets using the provided adapter.
Before You Begin
- Ensure you have all parts listed in the packing list.
- Turn off the main water supply to your sink.
- Gather necessary tools (e.g., wrench, bucket for drips).
Installation Steps
- Connect to Cold Water Line: Attach the provided 3/8-inch tubing directly to your standard 3/8-inch inlet valve. If you have a 1/2-inch pipe, use the 3/8"-to-1/2" adapter. Apply Teflon tape to threaded connections to prevent leaks.
- Connect to Filter System: Connect the inlet hose from the cold water line to the "IN" port on the filter system. Connect the outlet hose from the "OUT" port on the filter system to your faucet's cold water inlet.
- Install Filters: The system features a twist-lock design for easy filter installation and replacement. Insert the filter cartridges into their respective slots and twist to secure them. (Refer to the filter labels for correct placement: DSP1 and DSC2).
- Secure the System: The system can be placed on the ground or hung on the wall under your sink.
- Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check for any leaks.
- Flush the System: Open your dedicated filtered water faucet and let the water run for at least 5 minutes to flush out any carbon fines and air from the system.
Battery Installation (for indicator)
The system requires 3 AA batteries for the filter life indicator. The battery compartment is located at the back of the unit. Install batteries before initial use.
Operating Instructions
Once installed and flushed, your Waterdrop DST system is ready for use. Simply open your dedicated filtered water faucet to dispense clean water.
Filter Life Indicator
The system includes an indicator to remind you when to replace filters. Pay attention to this indicator for optimal performance.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the continued performance and longevity of your water filter system.
Filter Replacement
The filter cartridges have specific lifespans:
- First Stage Filter (DSP1): Replace every 8 months.
- Second Stage Filter (DSC2): Replace every 12 months.
To replace a filter:
- Turn off the water supply to the filter system.
- Twist the old filter cartridge counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
- Insert the new filter cartridge, aligning it correctly, and twist clockwise to lock it into place.
- Turn the water supply back on and flush the system for 5 minutes.
Cleaning
Periodically wipe down the exterior of the filter housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Waterdrop DST system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Low Water Flow: This could indicate a clogged filter. Check the filter life indicator and replace cartridges if necessary. Ensure the water supply valve is fully open.
- Leaks: Check all connections for tightness. Ensure Teflon tape was applied correctly. If a filter cartridge is leaking, ensure it is properly seated and locked.
- Unusual Taste or Odor: This suggests the filters may be exhausted. Replace both filter cartridges. Ensure the system was properly flushed after installation or filter replacement.
- Filter Indicator Not Working: Check if the AA batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if needed.
If problems persist, please contact Waterdrop customer service.
