3. Setup
The Elitech STC-1000 TH is designed for straightforward setup, requiring no complex wiring. Simply plug in your heating/cooling and humidifying/dehumidifying devices into the designated outlets.
- Unpack the Controller: Carefully remove the controller, sensor, and power cables from the packaging.
- Connect the Sensor: Plug the combined temperature and humidity sensor into the designated port on the controller.
- Position the Sensor: Place the sensor in the environment where you wish to monitor and control temperature and humidity. Ensure it is not directly exposed to heat sources or moisture outlets for accurate readings.
- Connect Devices: Plug your temperature control device (e.g., heat lamp, fan) into the 'WORK1' outlet and your humidity control device (e.g., humidifier, dehumidifier) into the 'WORK2' outlet.
- Power On: Plug the controller's main power cord into a standard 110V electrical outlet. The LCD screen will illuminate, displaying current temperature and humidity readings.
- Mounting (Optional): The controller features a convenient hanging hole at the top for easy mounting on a wall or suitable surface using a nail or screw.

4.1 Setting Temperature and Humidity
- Enter Setting Mode: Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds until the setting icon (a small cloud with a wrench) appears on the display.
- Set Temperature (TS): Use the Up or Down arrows to navigate to the 'TS' parameter (Temperature Setpoint). Press SET once to select it. Use the arrows to adjust the desired temperature. Press SET again to confirm and move to the next parameter or exit.
- Set Humidity (HS/HD): Similarly, navigate to 'HS' (Humidity Setpoint) for humidifying or 'HD' (Humidity Differential) for dehumidifying. Press SET once, adjust the value with the arrows, and press SET again to confirm.
- Exit Setting Mode: The controller will automatically exit setting mode after a period of inactivity, or you can press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds to exit manually. The setting icon will disappear.

4.2 Automatic Operation
Once parameters are set, the controller will automatically activate or deactivate the connected devices (via WORK1 and WORK2 outlets) to maintain the desired temperature and humidity levels. For example, if the temperature drops below your setpoint, the heating device connected to WORK1 will turn on until the setpoint is reached. The same logic applies to cooling, humidifying, and dehumidifying based on your configured settings.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and accurate performance of your Elitech STC-1000 TH controller, follow these general maintenance guidelines:
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe the controller and sensor with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Sensor Care: Keep the sensor clean and free from obstructions. Do not submerge the sensor in water or expose it to extreme physical impact.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables for any signs of wear, cuts, or damage. Replace damaged cables immediately to prevent electrical hazards.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the controller is used within its specified operating temperature and humidity ranges to prevent damage. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near strong electromagnetic fields.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Elitech STC-1000 TH controller, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Display/Power:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a live electrical outlet.
- Verify the power source is active.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure the sensor is clean and not obstructed.
- Verify the sensor is correctly positioned and not influenced by direct heat/cold sources or excessive moisture.
- Perform a temperature or humidity calibration if you have a trusted reference thermometer/hygrometer. Refer to the detailed user manual for calibration procedures.
- Devices Not Activating/Deactivating:
- Check if the devices are correctly plugged into the 'WORK1' (temperature) and 'WORK2' (humidity) outlets.
- Confirm that the setpoints and differentials are configured correctly for your desired operation (e.g., heating vs. cooling, humidifying vs. dehumidifying).
- Ensure the current temperature/humidity is outside the set range, triggering the controller.
- Alarm Sounds:
- The alarm indicates that the temperature or humidity has exceeded or fallen below the set high/low alarm limits.
- Adjust your setpoints or alarm limits as needed.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please refer to the detailed user manual or contact Elitech customer support.
