3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the refrigerator from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any damage that may have occurred during transit. Keep the packaging materials for future storage or transport if needed.
3.2 Placement
Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit, especially around the heat dissipation areas, to allow for proper airflow and efficient cooling. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
3.3 Power Connection
The Alpicool K25 can be powered by either DC (12V/24V) or AC (100-240V) power sources.
- DC Power (Vehicle Use): Connect the provided 2.5m DC power cord to the DC 12V/24V input port on the refrigerator and then to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket or a dedicated 12V/24V power outlet.
- AC Power (Home/Dorm Use): Connect the provided AC power cord with the adapter to the AC input port on the refrigerator and then to a standard 100-240V wall outlet.
After connecting to power, the unit will typically display the current internal temperature and enter standby mode or begin cooling, depending on previous settings.

Image 5: Highlights the low energy consumption and the 3 modes of battery protection, which automatically power off the unit to prevent vehicle battery overload or low voltage.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
Press and hold the power button on the control panel to turn the refrigerator on or off. The display will illuminate when the unit is powered on.
4.2 Temperature Adjustment
Use the + and - buttons on the control panel to set the desired temperature. The temperature range is from -20°C to 20°C. The display will show the set temperature, and then revert to showing the current internal temperature once set.
4.3 Cooling Modes (MAX/ECO)
The unit typically features different cooling modes for efficiency. Refer to the control panel for specific mode selection. Common modes include:
- MAX Mode: Provides rapid cooling to reach the set temperature quickly. This mode consumes more power.
- ECO Mode: Operates with lower power consumption for energy efficiency, ideal for maintaining temperature once the desired level is reached.
4.4 Battery Protection Modes
The Alpicool K25 includes three levels of battery protection (High, Medium, Low) to prevent your vehicle's battery from draining. You can select the desired level via the control panel settings. The unit will automatically power off if the input voltage drops below the selected threshold.
- High: Provides the highest level of battery protection, shutting off at a higher voltage.
- Medium: A balanced protection level.
- Low: Allows the unit to operate at a lower voltage before shutting off, maximizing run time but with less battery protection.
5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 Cleaning
- Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
- Clean the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Ensure the drain plug is open to allow water to escape during cleaning.
- Regularly clean the ventilation grilles to ensure proper airflow.
5.2 Defrosting
Frost may accumulate on the interior cooling surfaces, especially when operating as a freezer. To defrost:
- Turn off the unit and disconnect it from the power supply.
- Remove all contents.
- Leave the lid open and place a towel inside to absorb melting ice.
- Do not use sharp objects to remove ice, as this can damage the cooling system.
- Once defrosted, wipe the interior dry before restarting the unit.
5.3 Storage
When storing the refrigerator for an extended period:
- Ensure the unit is clean and dry.
- Leave the lid slightly ajar to prevent odors and mold growth.
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
