2.2 Control Panel and LCD Display
The control panel features an LCD display and several buttons for operation:
- LCD Display: Shows current status, ice making cycle, error codes, and settings.
- SET Button: Used to enter settings mode or confirm selections.
- Up/Down Arrows: Adjust settings or navigate menus.
- SELECT Button: Initiates or stops the ice making process, or selects options.
- Indicators: "ADD WATER" and "ICE FULL" indicators are typically shown on the LCD.
3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging.
- Remove all packing materials, including tape and protective films.
- Inspect the appliance for any damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
3.2 Placement
- Place the ice maker on a flat, stable surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Ensure there is at least 15 cm (6 inches) of clearance around the unit for proper ventilation.
- Do not place the ice maker in an enclosed cabinet.
3.3 Initial Cleaning
- Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker.
- Wash the ice basket and ice scoop with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the interior with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of water and vinegar (1:1 ratio).
- Drain any remaining water through the drain plug at the bottom.
- Dry all surfaces thoroughly before use.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Filling the Water Reservoir
- Open the lid of the ice maker.
- Pour potable water into the water reservoir up to the "MAX" fill line. Do not overfill.
- Close the lid securely.
4.2 Making Ice
- Plug the ice maker into a grounded 220V power outlet.
- Press the SELECT button to turn on the appliance and begin the ice making cycle.
- The LCD display will show the current status. You may be able to select ice cube size using the SET and arrow buttons, if available on your model.
- The first batch of ice may take slightly longer to produce. Discard the first few batches of ice to ensure cleanliness.
- The ice maker will automatically stop when the ice basket is full or when the water reservoir is empty.
4.3 Indicators
- "ADD WATER" Indicator: Illuminates on the LCD when the water reservoir needs refilling. Add water and the ice making cycle will resume automatically.
- "ICE FULL" Indicator: Illuminates on the LCD when the ice basket is full. Remove ice, and the cycle will resume.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Always unplug the ice maker before cleaning.
- Remove the ice basket.
- Clean the interior with a soft cloth and a mild detergent solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Drain all water from the reservoir using the drain plug.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Clean the air vents on the side/back of the unit regularly with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to ensure proper airflow.
5.2 Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits can build up. Descale your ice maker every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness.
- Mix a solution of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling agent according to its instructions.
- Pour the solution into the water reservoir.
- Run a few ice-making cycles without ice in the basket (discard the solution).
- Drain the solution completely and rinse the reservoir thoroughly with clean water several times.
- Run a few cycles with clean water to flush out any remaining descaling agent.
5.3 Storage
If storing the ice maker for an extended period:
- Ensure the unit is thoroughly cleaned and dried.
- Drain all water from the reservoir.
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
6. Troubleshooting
