Note on TDS: This system is designed to reduce specific contaminants while retaining beneficial minerals. Therefore, it does not lower the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) value. If a low TDS value is preferred, please consider Waterdrop 0 TDS Dispenser models (e.g., WD-WFD-01L, WD-WFD-01W).

Image 1.3: An infographic explaining that TDS is not a professional water quality measure and that this system does not remove essential minerals, thus not lowering TDS. It also shows typical TDS levels for milk, juice, cola, and mineral water.
2. Setup Instructions
2.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Wash the dispenser body, lid, and reservoir with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly with cold water. Do not use a dishwasher.
2.2 Filter Preparation
- Remove the new filter from its packaging.
- Submerge the filter completely in cold water for 10 minutes. This helps to remove air bubbles and prepare the filter for optimal performance. It is normal to observe some carbon dust during this process.
2.3 Filter Installation
- Insert the prepared filter firmly into the designated opening in the bottom of the reservoir. Ensure it is seated securely to prevent unfiltered water from bypassing the filter.
- Place the reservoir into the dispenser body.
2.4 Initial Flushing
- Fill the reservoir with cold tap water.
- Allow the water to filter through and dispense the first three pitchers of filtered water. This water may contain residual carbon dust and should be discarded or used for watering plants.
2.5 Activating the Smart Filter Replacement Reminder
- After installing a new filter, press and hold the button on the lid for 5 seconds until the blue light flashes. This activates the filter life indicator.
