4. Setup and Installation

The Delta RD3-012 Red Dot Reflex Sight comes with both a Picatinny mounting plate and a dedicated adapter plate for the Sig Sauer P365 handgun (base model only, not P365XL).

4.1. Detaching the Picatinny Mounting Plate (if pre-assembled)

  1. Locate the two hex screws (M3x6mm) on the top of the red dot sight, behind the glass frame.
  2. Use the provided Allen wrench to carefully remove these two screws.
  3. Gently separate the red dot sight from the Picatinny mounting plate.

4.2. Installing on Sig Sauer P365 Handgun

This adapter plate is designed to replace the rear sight of your Sig Sauer P365 base model handgun. It is not compatible with the P365XL model.

  1. Ensure your firearm is unloaded and safe.
  2. Carefully remove the existing rear sight from your Sig Sauer P365 handgun. Consult your firearm's manual for specific instructions on rear sight removal.
  3. Position the Ade Advanced Optics P365 adapter plate into the rear sight dovetail.
  4. Secure the adapter plate according to the instructions provided with the plate or by a qualified gunsmith. Proper fit and torque are critical for maintaining zero.
  5. Align the Delta RD3-012 red dot sight onto the installed P365 adapter plate.
  6. Use the provided installation screws to secure the red dot sight to the adapter plate. Apply appropriate torque to prevent loosening or damage.

4.3. Installing on Picatinny Rail

If you are using the Picatinny mounting plate, attach it to any standard Picatinny rail system using the appropriate hardware and torque specifications.

5. Operation

5.1. Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment

The Delta RD3-012 features two button adjustments: an 'UP ARROW' and a 'DOWN ARROW'.

  • Power On: Press and hold the 'UP ARROW' button for 3 seconds.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the 'DOWN ARROW' button for 3 seconds.
  • Increase Brightness: Press the 'UP ARROW' button briefly.
  • Decrease Brightness: Press the 'DOWN ARROW' button briefly.

5.2. Windage and Elevation Adjustments

The sight features 1 M.O.A. adjustments for both windage and elevation. Use the provided adjustment wrench and dialing plate to make precise adjustments to the red dot's position. Refer to the markings on the sight for direction of adjustment.

5.3. Battery Replacement

The Delta RD3-012 utilizes a top-load battery system, which means you do not need to remove the sight from your firearm to change the battery. Locate the battery compartment cover on the top of the sight, unscrew it, replace the battery, and securely fasten the cover.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

To clean the lenses, use a soft, lint-free cloth and a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optics. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could damage the lens coatings. For the housing, wipe with a damp cloth as needed.

6.2. Storage

When not in use, install the protective cover over the sight to prevent dust and scratches. Store the sight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Red Dot Not Appearing: Ensure the sight is powered on by holding the 'UP ARROW' button for 3 seconds. Check the battery and replace if necessary.
  • Red Dot Appears Dim or Flickers: Replace the battery. Ensure battery contacts are clean.
  • Sight Not Holding Zero: This is often caused by improper installation. Re-check all mounting screws for correct torque. Ensure the mounting plate is securely attached to the firearm. Professional installation is recommended to prevent this issue.
  • Dot Appears Distorted or Blurry: Ensure the lens is clean. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

The Ade Advanced Optics Delta RD3-012 Red Dot Reflex Sight is covered by a 1-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase.
