HAWK'S WORK F-22 RC Airplane Instruction Manual
Model: 822 | Brand: HAWK'S WORK
1. Setup
Follow these steps for the initial assembly and preparation of your HAWK'S WORK F-22 RC Airplane.
1.1 Component Assembly
Attach the vertical fins to the main body of the aircraft. Apply the included glue to secure them firmly. Allow approximately 30 minutes for the glue to set completely before proceeding.

The F-22 RC plane features a durable EPP foam fuselage, twin 720 brushed motors, and a power switch. The nose cone is made of rubber for added durability during impacts. Ensure the rubber nosecone is properly seated by folding it down, sliding the notch into the slit on the foam nose, and then unfolding it.

1.2 Battery Installation and Connection
Insert the 3.7V 300mAh LiPo battery into the designated compartment on the underside of the aircraft and connect it. For the remote control, install 3 AA batteries (included).
1.3 Binding the Remote Control
To establish a connection between the plane and the remote control:
- Turn on the plane using the power switch located on its underside.
- Ensure the left joystick on the remote control is in the lowest position, then turn on the remote control.
- Push the left joystick to the top position, then pull it slowly back to the bottom position. The indicator lights on both the plane and remote will become solid when successfully bound.

2. Operating Instructions
The HAWK'S WORK F-22 RC Airplane is designed for easy flight with a built-in self-stabilization system. It offers two primary methods for takeoff and simple controls for navigation.
2.1 Takeoff Procedures
You can launch the F-22 RC plane using either a hand throw or a ground takeoff:
- Hand Throw: Hold the plane firmly and give it a gentle forward toss while applying throttle.
- Ground Takeoff: Place the plane on a flat, open surface. Apply throttle and allow it to gain speed for takeoff.

2.2 Flight Controls
The 2.4GHz remote control allows for precise command of the aircraft:
- Throttle (Left Joystick): Controls the power and altitude (up and down). Increasing throttle will cause the plane to climb, while decreasing it will allow it to descend.
- Directional Control (Right Joystick): Controls left and right turns.

The F-22 features a 6-axis gyro stabilizer, making it easy to fly for all skill levels. This system helps maintain stability during flight, even for beginners.

3. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your RC airplane.
3.1 General Care
The F-22 RC plane features a lightweight and durable foam structure designed to withstand minor crashes. However, it is recommended to fly over soft surfaces like artificial turf or grass to minimize impact damage during landings. Avoid flying over hard surfaces like concrete, as this can cause significant wear and tear.
The plane comes with two 3.7V 300mAh lithium batteries, providing approximately 15 minutes of flight time per battery, totaling up to 30 minutes of play time. Ensure batteries are fully charged before each use for optimal performance.

Figure 6: The F-22 RC Airplane offers up to 30 minutes of flight time with two batteries.
3.2 Repairing Minor Damage
In case of minor damage, such as a broken nose tip or detached vertical fins, use the included glue for repairs. Apply glue carefully and ensure pieces are perfectly aligned without losing any shredded foam. For the vertical stabilizer fins, glue them firmly in place. It is advisable to carry the glue with you when flying, as repairs might be needed on-site.
The landing wheels are crucial. Without them, the propellers may spin on flat surfaces during landing, potentially damaging the motors. Always ensure the wheels are attached. Try to land horizontally rather than nose-first to prevent foam breakage from impact.
4. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter while operating your RC airplane.
4.1 Common Flight Issues
- Difficulty Controlling in Wind: Do not fly the plane when it is very windy (wind over 3 m/s). Strong winds can make the plane difficult to control and may lead to crashes.
- Motors Running Backwards: If the motors are running in reverse after binding, re-check the binding procedure and ensure all connections are secure. If the issue persists, refer to the support section.
- Plane Not Staying Airborne: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Verify that the propellers are not damaged and are spinning correctly. Check for any structural damage to the foam that might affect aerodynamics.
It is common to encounter some problems when playing with a hobby RC plane. Most issues can be resolved by carefully reviewing the user manual. For persistent problems, please contact customer support.
