Setup and Configuration

1. Attaching the String

  1. Unwind the yo-yo string.
  2. Create a slip knot at one end of the string.
  3. Loop the slip knot over the axle of the yo-yo.
  4. Adjust the loop to be snug but not overly tight around the axle.

2. Adjusting String Length

  1. Hold the yo-yo in your hand and let the string hang to the floor.
  2. The string should reach your belly button.
  3. If the string is too long, cut it to the appropriate length.
  4. Tie a loop at the end of the string for your finger.

3. Using MOD Spacers for Shape Changing

The Pro Z yo-yo features convertible MOD spacers to change its shape for different play styles:

  • Standard Looping Style: Use the narrower spacer configuration for traditional looping tricks.
  • Wide Body String Trick Style: Replace the standard spacers with the wider MOD spacers to create a wider gap, ideal for string tricks and longer spin times.

To change spacers:

  1. Carefully unscrew the yo-yo halves.
  2. Remove the existing spacers and bearing.
  3. Insert the desired MOD spacers and bearing onto the axle.
  4. Screw the yo-yo halves back together securely, ensuring the string is properly seated.

Operating Your Yo-Yo

Basic Throw and Return

  1. Place the loop of the string over your middle finger.
  2. Wind the string tightly around the yo-yo.
  3. Hold the yo-yo in your palm, then quickly snap your wrist downwards, releasing the yo-yo.
  4. As the yo-yo reaches the end of the string, give a slight tug upwards with your hand to make it return.

Care and Maintenance

General Care

  • Store your yo-yo in a clean, dry place to prevent damage.
  • Avoid dropping the yo-yo on hard surfaces, as this can affect its balance and performance.
  • Keep the yo-yo away from extreme temperatures.

String Replacement

Over time, yo-yo strings can fray or break. Replace the string when it shows signs of wear to maintain optimal performance and safety. The Pro Z comes with extra strings for convenience.
