2. Safety Instructions

5. Setup

  1. Unpack the Dispenser: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the dispenser for any signs of damage.
  2. Placement: Place the dispenser on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation. Keep it away from walls and other appliances.
  3. Clean the Unit: Before first use, clean the water bottle receptacle and drip tray. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
  4. Install Water Bottle:

    Remove the protective seal from the top of a standard 3 or 5-gallon water bottle. Carefully invert the bottle and place it firmly onto the water bottle receptacle on top of the dispenser. Ensure it is seated correctly to prevent leaks.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  6. Initial Water Flow: Before turning on heating or cooling, dispense a few cups of water from both the hot and cold spouts to ensure water flows freely and to prime the system. This helps remove any air from the lines.

6. Operating Instructions

The OUKANING Electric Hot Water Dispenser features intuitive controls for both hot and cold water.

  1. Power On: Once the water bottle is installed and the unit is plugged in, turn on the main power switch, usually located at the back of the unit.
  2. Hot Water Dispensing: To dispense hot water, locate the hot water control knob (typically marked with red or a flame symbol). Press the button or turn the knob to activate the hot water flow. Exercise caution as water will be very hot.
  3. Cold Water Dispensing: To dispense cold water, locate the cold water control knob (typically marked with blue or a snowflake symbol). Press the button or turn the knob to activate the cold water flow.
  4. Indicator Lights: Observe the indicator lights on the front panel. These lights typically show the status of heating, cooling, and power.
  5. Stop Dispensing: Release the button or turn the knob back to the off position to stop the water flow.

7. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and hygiene of your water dispenser.

  1. Unplug Before Cleaning: Always unplug the dispenser from the power outlet before performing any cleaning or maintenance.
  2. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the dispenser with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  3. Clean Drip Tray: The drip tray should be emptied and cleaned regularly to prevent overflow and bacterial growth. Remove the tray, wash it with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry before replacing.
  4. Clean Water Bottle Receptacle: The removable top base allows for easy cleaning of the water bottle receptacle. Remove the top base, wash it with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry before reattaching.

  5. Descaling (Periodically): Over time, mineral deposits may accumulate. For descaling, consult a professional or use a food-grade descaling solution following the product's instructions. Ensure thorough rinsing after descaling.
  6. Replace Water Bottle: When the water bottle is empty, replace it promptly to avoid running the dispenser dry, which can damage the heating element.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your dispenser, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
