3. Setup Instructions

Your ZINUS mattress is efficiently compressed and rolled into a box for convenient shipping and handling. Follow these steps for proper setup:

  1. Preparation: Carefully move the boxed mattress to the desired room. Ensure you have enough space to unroll the mattress.
  2. Unboxing: Open the box and remove the rolled mattress. Do not use a sharp object to cut the plastic packaging directly on the mattress surface to avoid damage.
  3. Unrolling: Place the rolled mattress on a clean, flat surface, such as your bed frame or foundation. Carefully cut and remove the outer plastic layer.
  4. Expansion: The mattress will begin to expand immediately after the plastic is removed. Allow up to 72 hours for the mattress to fully decompress and reach its original shape and firmness. Cooler temperatures may extend the expansion time.
  5. Ventilation: A new mattress may have a slight odor, which is normal and harmless. Allow the mattress to air out in a well-ventilated room for a few hours or days if needed.

It is recommended to use a supportive bed frame or foundation to ensure proper support for your mattress.

4. Operating Information

Once fully expanded, your ZINUS mattress is ready for use. Here are some general guidelines:

  • Initial Feel: New mattresses may feel firmer than expected initially. The foam layers will soften slightly over the first few weeks of use as they adapt to your body.
  • Rotation: To promote even wear and extend the life of your mattress, rotate it 180 degrees every 3-6 months. This mattress is designed to be used on one side only and does not require flipping.
  • Foundation: Use a sturdy, flat, and supportive foundation or bed frame. Slatted foundations should have slats no more than 3 inches apart to prevent sagging.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will help maintain the quality and comfort of your ZINUS mattress:

  • Spot Cleaning: For minor spills or stains, spot clean with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Avoid saturating the mattress with water. Allow to air dry completely before covering.
  • Protection: Using a mattress protector is highly recommended to shield against spills, stains, and allergens, helping to keep your mattress clean and hygienic.
  • Ventilation: Periodically remove bedding to allow the mattress to breathe, especially in humid environments.
  • Avoid Jumping: Do not jump on the mattress, as this can damage the internal components and void the warranty.
  • Do Not Dry Clean: Do not dry clean or machine wash the mattress cover, as this may damage the materials and construction.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your mattress, consider the following:

  • Odor: A new mattress may have a slight
