1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Information

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed to avoid electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
  • Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
  • Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
  • Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
  • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  • Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
  • Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
  • Turn off all controls before unplugging.

  • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
  • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  • Do not use without dirt cup and/or filters in place.
  • Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance.
  • Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
  • Use appliances only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  • When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
  • Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

  1. Ensure the vacuum is turned off.
  2. Press the battery release button located on the side of the vacuum and slide the ONEPWR battery out.
  3. Insert the battery into the ONEPWR charger.
  4. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator lights on the battery will show charging status.
  5. Allow the battery to fully charge before first use (typically a few hours).
  6. Once charged, remove the battery from the charger and slide it back into the vacuum until it clicks securely into place.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

To turn the vacuum on, press the power button located on the handle. Press the button again to turn it off.

6.2 General Cleaning

For general debris on hard surfaces, use the vacuum without any attachment or with the extended nozzle for wider coverage. For fine dust or crumbs, move the vacuum slowly over the area.

6.3 Specialized Cleaning with Tools

  • Upholstery: Attach the upholstery tool to remove pet hair, lint, and debris from furniture, car seats, and other fabric surfaces.
  • Crevices and Tight Spaces: Use the narrow tip of the 2-in-1 crevice tool for hard-to-reach areas like corners, between cushions, or along baseboards.
  • Dusting: Slide the brush down on the 2-in-1 crevice tool to gently dust delicate surfaces, blinds, or vents.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures your Hoover DustChaser operates efficiently and prolongs its lifespan.

7.1 Emptying the Dirt Cup

  1. Ensure the vacuum is turned off and the battery is removed.
  2. Locate the dirt cup release button (refer to Product Overview diagram).
  3. Press the release button and pull the dirt cup away from the main unit.
  4. Hold the dirt cup over a trash receptacle and open the bottom flap to empty debris.
  5. Close the flap and reattach the dirt cup to the vacuum until it clicks.

7.2 Cleaning the HEPA Media Filter

The HEPA Media filter should be cleaned regularly to maintain optimal suction and filtration.

  1. With the dirt cup removed, carefully pull out the HEPA Media filter.
  2. Tap the filter gently over a trash can to remove loose dirt and dust.
  3. If heavily soiled, rinse the filter under running water until the water runs clear.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it into the vacuum. Do not use the vacuum with a wet filter.
  5. Replace the filter back into the dirt cup and reattach the dirt cup to the vacuum.
