Operating Instructions
Power Modes
The Dyson Cyclone V10 Total Clean+ features three power modes for different cleaning tasks:
- Mode 1 (Suction Mode 1): Provides maximum run time for longer cleans on all floor types.
- Mode 2 (Suction Mode 2): Offers a balance of power and run time for everyday cleaning.
- Boost Mode (Max Suction): Delivers maximum suction for intensive spot cleaning. This mode will significantly reduce battery life.
To change power modes, slide the switch on the top of the main body.
Starting and Stopping
Press and hold the power trigger to start the vacuum. Release the trigger to stop.
Using Attachments
Select the appropriate attachment for your cleaning needs. For example, use the Soft Roller Cleaner Head for hard floors, the Mini Motorized Tool for upholstery, and the Crevice Tool for tight spaces. Attachments click securely onto the wand or directly onto the main body.
Maintenance
Emptying the Dust Bin
Empty the dust bin as soon as the dirt reaches the MAX level.
- Hold the vacuum over a trash bin.
- Push the red lever forward to release the bin flap and eject the dirt.
- Close the bin flap firmly until it clicks.
Washing the Filter
Wash the filter at least once a month, or more frequently if used heavily.
- Twist the filter counter-clockwise from the top of the main body and remove it.
- Wash the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear.
- Squeeze and twist the filter to remove excess water.
- Leave the filter to dry completely for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry place with good airflow. Do not use a tumble dryer, microwave, or open flame.
- Once completely dry, replace the filter by twisting it clockwise until it clicks into place.
Clearing Blockages
If the vacuum loses suction, check for blockages in the cleaner head, wand, and main body.
- Turn off and unplug the vacuum before checking for blockages.
- Remove any visible debris.
- If the cleaner head brush bar is blocked, refer to the specific instructions for removing and cleaning the brush bar.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| Loss of suction. | Dust bin full; filter needs washing/drying; blockage in cleaner head, wand, or main body. | Empty dust bin. Wash and thoroughly dry filter. Check and clear any blockages. |
| Brush bar not rotating. | Blockage in brush bar; cleaner head not properly attached. | Remove cleaner head and clear any hair or debris from the brush bar. Ensure cleaner head is securely attached. |
