1. Product Overview

The KEMIMOTO PRO XP Spare Tire Carrier is designed to securely hold a spare tire on your Polaris RZR PRO XP. Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a black powder-coated finish, it offers corrosion resistance and durability. This carrier positions the spare tire high, preserving cargo space in the vehicle's bed and maintaining an unobstructed view through the rearview mirror.

3. Installation Instructions

Follow these steps to install the KEMIMOTO PRO XP Spare Tire Carrier:

1. Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure the Polaris RZR PRO XP is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
2. Attach Clamps to Roll Bar: Position the four locking blocks (clamps) onto the rear roll bar of your RZR PRO XP. Ensure they are evenly spaced and aligned. Secure them loosely with the hexagon socket head screws.
3. Mount Main Crossbar: Attach the main crossbar of the spare tire holder assembly to the installed clamps. Align the holes and insert the remaining hexagon socket head screws. Tighten all screws on the clamps and crossbar securely, but do not overtighten initially.
4. Install Tire Mounting Plate: The tire mounting plate is pre-attached to the vertical supports of the spare tire holder. Ensure it is oriented correctly.
5. Mount Spare Tire: Place your spare tire onto the tire mounting plate, aligning the wheel studs with the holes on the tire. Secure the tire using the four provided tire screws. Tighten these screws firmly to prevent movement.
6. Final Tightening: Once the tire is mounted, re-check all hexagon socket head screws and tire screws. Ensure all connections are tight and secure. The carrier should not wobble or move.

4. Operating the Spare Tire Carrier

Once installed, the spare tire carrier is designed for straightforward use.

4.1 Mounting a Spare Tire

1. Align the spare tire with the studs on the tire mounting plate.
2. Slide the tire onto the studs until it rests flush against the plate.
3. Thread the four tire screws onto the studs and tighten them firmly by hand, then use an appropriate wrench to ensure they are secure.

4.2 Removing a Spare Tire

1. Loosen and remove the four tire screws using an appropriate wrench.
2. Carefully lift the spare tire off the mounting studs.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your spare tire carrier.

• Inspect Fasteners: Periodically check all hexagon socket head screws and tire screws for tightness. Re-tighten as necessary, especially after off-road use.
• Clean: Clean the carrier with mild soap and water to remove dirt and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the powder-coated finish.
• Check for Damage: Inspect the steel frame and welds for any signs of damage, cracks, or corrosion. Address any issues promptly.

• Carrier Rotates or Shifts: This typically indicates that the mounting screws for the clamps or the main crossbar are not sufficiently tightened. Ensure all 16 hexagon socket head screws are tightened securely. Avoid overtightening to prevent stripping threads, but apply firm pressure.
• Difficulty Installing: Verify that the carrier is compatible with your specific Polaris RZR PRO XP model year (2020-2024). Ensure the clamps are correctly positioned on the roll bar and that the crossbar is aligned before tightening. Minor adjustments may be needed during initial fitment.
• Tire Wobbles on Mount: Confirm that the four tire screws are fully tightened and that the tire is seated flush against the mounting plate. Ensure the tire's bolt pattern matches the carrier's studs.
