The Droid Turbo 2 XT1585 features an AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. Navigate by tapping, swiping, pinching, and spreading your fingers on the screen. The home screen provides access to applications and widgets.

2. Making Calls and Sending Messages

Tap the 'Phone' icon to access the dialer and make calls. Tap the 'Messages' icon to compose and send text messages. Ensure your SIM card is active and has network coverage.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning Your Device

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and body of your phone. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the display and finish. The device is water resistant, but not waterproof; avoid submerging it in liquids.

2. Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid extreme temperatures. Charge your device using only compatible chargers. While the device supports fast charging, occasional full charge cycles (0-100%) can help calibrate the battery. The average talk time is approximately 48 hours on a full charge.

3. Software Updates

Regularly check for and install software updates to ensure your device has the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements. Go to Settings > About phone > System updates.

Troubleshooting

Device Not Powering On

Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a charger and wait a few minutes before attempting to power it on again. If it still doesn't turn on, try holding the Power button for an extended period (10-15 seconds).

Charging Issues

If the device is not charging, check the charging cable and adapter for damage. Try using a different compatible charger and cable. Ensure the charging port on the phone is clean and free of debris. Some users have reported issues with turbo charging; if this occurs, try a standard charger.

Network Connectivity Problems

If you experience issues with calls, messages, or mobile data, check if your SIM card is properly inserted. Restart your device. Verify that Airplane Mode is off (Settings > Network & internet > Airplane mode). Contact your wireless carrier (Verizon) to confirm service status.

Apps Crashing or Freezing

Close and reopen the problematic app. Clear the app's cache and data (Settings > Apps & notifications > [App Name] > Storage & cache). If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app. As a last resort, consider a factory reset (back up your data first).
