Setup
1. Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge your Onyx Studio 6. Connect the provided power adaptor to the speaker's power port and then to a wall outlet. A full charge takes approximately 8 hours and provides up to 8 hours of playtime.
2. Power On/Off
- To power on, press the Power button (circle with a vertical line) located on the top surface of the speaker.
- To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the indicator light turns off.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on.
- Press the Bluetooth button (Bluetooth symbol) on the top surface of the speaker. The indicator light will begin to blink, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, or laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6" from the list of devices.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light on the speaker will turn solid.
4. Wireless Dual Sound Connection
You can wirelessly connect two Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 speakers for a stereo sound experience:
- Connect your mobile device to the first Onyx Studio 6 speaker via Bluetooth.
- On the first speaker, press and hold the Bluetooth button for two seconds.
- On the second Onyx Studio 6 speaker, power it on and then press and hold its Bluetooth button for five seconds until the white LED blinks rapidly.
- The two speakers will automatically link together, providing synchronized audio playback.

Operating the Speaker
Controls
The top surface of the Onyx Studio 6 features intuitive touch controls:
- Power Button: Turns the speaker on or off.
- Volume Down (-): Decreases the volume.
- Volume Up (+): Increases the volume.
- Bluetooth Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode or connects to another Onyx Studio 6 for dual sound.
- Play/Pause Button: Controls audio playback.
Audio Playback
Once connected via Bluetooth, simply start playing audio from your paired device. Use the volume buttons on the speaker or your device to adjust the sound level. The speaker also supports audio input via its AUX port for wired connections.
Waterproof Feature (IPX7)
The Onyx Studio 6 is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for use near pools or in bathrooms. Important: Ensure all port covers are securely closed before exposing the speaker to water. The speaker is not waterproof if anything is plugged into its ports.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the speaker's fabric and aluminum surfaces. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% every few months.
