2. Setup Guide

2.1 Unboxing and Components

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the following:

  • WOPET 6L Automatic Pet Feeder Unit
  • Food Tray
  • Power Adapter
  • User Manual (this document)

2.2 Power Supply

The feeder can be powered by the included power adapter or by 3 D-size batteries (not included) for backup.

  1. Primary Power: Connect the power adapter to the feeder's power port and plug it into a standard wall outlet.
  2. Backup Power (Optional but Recommended): Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the feeder and insert 3 D-size batteries. This ensures continuous feeding during power outages.

Note: WiFi connection and app operation require the feeder to be powered by the adapter. Batteries serve as a backup for dispensing food only.

2.3 App Installation and WiFi Connection

The WOPET feeder requires the "WOpet Life" app for full functionality. It only supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks.

  1. Download the "WOpet Life" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Register or log in to your account.
  3. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.
  4. Follow the in-app instructions to add your feeder. This typically involves pressing a button on the feeder to enter pairing mode and then confirming the WiFi network and password in the app.

Tip: If you have trouble connecting, ensure your phone is temporarily disconnected from 5GHz networks or move further away from your router until your phone connects to the 2.4GHz band.

2.4 Filling the Food Tank

The feeder has a 6L capacity. It is compatible with dry food pellets between 2-15mm in size.

  1. Open the lid of the food storage container.
  2. Pour dry pet food into the tank. Do not overfill.
  3. Close the lid securely using the twist-lock mechanism to prevent pets from accessing the food and to maintain freshness.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Scheduling Meals via App

The app allows for precise control over your pet's feeding schedule.

  1. Open the "WOpet Life" app and select your feeder.
  2. Navigate to the "Feeding Schedule" or similar section.
  3. Set up to 15 meals per day. For each meal, specify the time and the number of portions (1-50 portions per meal).
  4. Save your settings. The feeder will automatically dispense food at the programmed times.

3.2 Personalized Voice Meal Call

Record a 10-second voice message to play at meal times, comforting your pet with your familiar voice.

  1. In the "WOpet Life" app, go to the feeder's settings.
  2. Find the "Voice Recording" option.
  3. Tap to record your message (e.g., "Hey, baby come here for your lunch!").
  4. The recorded message will play automatically when food is dispensed.

3.3 Manual Feeding

You can dispense food instantly outside of the scheduled times.

  • Via App: On the feeder's main screen in the app, look for a "Feed Now" or manual dispense button. You can usually select the number of portions to dispense.
  • On Feeder: Press and hold the manual feed button on the feeder unit (refer to your feeder's specific button layout) to dispense a single portion.

4. Maintenance and Care

4.1 Cleaning the Feeder

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and proper operation. The food tray is detachable for easy cleaning.

  • Unplug the feeder and remove any remaining food.
  • Detach the food tray and wash it with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Wipe the main unit and food storage tank with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the main unit in water.
  • Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and refilling with food.
