1. Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Waterdrop 15UB Under Sink Water Filter System. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and retain it for future reference. This system is designed to provide clean, filtered water directly from your tap, reducing various contaminants.
The Waterdrop 15UB system features innovative multistage filtration, certified by IAPMO against NSF/ANSI 372 Standard for lead-free materials and NSF/ANSI 42 Standard for chlorine, taste, and odor reduction. It also reduces PFAS, PFOA/PFOS, heavy metals, chemical impurities, and sediment.
2. Important Safety Information
- Install the system only to a cold water supply.
- Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
- Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
- The activated carbon filter is made from natural coconut shells. If you have allergies, please confirm suitability.
- Flush the filter for 5 minutes before initial use.
- Replace the filter cartridge every 24 months or 19,000 gallons, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal performance.

4. Setup and Installation
The Waterdrop 15UB system is designed for easy DIY installation. It should only be connected to a cold water supply line. The innovative push-to-connect fittings simplify the process.
4.1. Choose Installation Location
Select a suitable location under your sink. The filter can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Ensure there is enough space for the filter unit (dimensions: 3.9"L x 3.6"W x 16.7"H) and for future filter replacements.

4.2. Mount the Filter Unit
- Use the provided template to mark the drilling points on the cabinet wall.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked points.
- Install the screws, leaving enough space to hang the filter head.
- Hang the filter head onto the installed screws.
4.3. Connect to Cold Water Supply
- Shut off the cold water supply to your sink.
- Disconnect the cold water pipe from the cold water supply valve.
- Twist the feed water adapter (with its washer) onto the cold water supply valve and tighten with an adjustable wrench.
- Twist the cold water pipe (with its washer) onto the feed water adapter and tighten with an adjustable wrench.
- Cut the 1/4" PE tubing to the proper length (distance from the inlet of the filter head to the feed water adapter). Make sure to cut it cleanly and squarely.
- Connect one end of the 1/4" PE tubing to the inlet of the filter head. Ensure the tubing hits the bottom of the fitting.

4.4. Install the Faucet
- If you do not have an existing hole, drill a 1" hole in your countertop for the dedicated faucet.
- Insert the faucet stem into the hole on the countertop.
- From underneath the sink, slide the mounting washer, clip, and nut onto the faucet stem and tighten securely.
- Connect the other end of the 1/4" PE tubing (from the filter outlet) to the quick-connect fitting on the faucet stem. Ensure the tubing hits the bottom of the fitting.

5. Operating Instructions
- Once all connections are secure, slowly turn on the cold water supply valve.
- Open the dedicated Waterdrop faucet and let the water run for at least 5 minutes to flush the system. This removes air and any carbon fines from the new filter.
- Check all connections for leaks. If leaks are present, tighten the connections or re-seat the tubing.
- The system is now ready for use. Enjoy clean, filtered water.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Filter Replacement (Model: WD-RF15)
The filter cartridge (Model: WD-RF15) should be replaced every 24 months or after filtering 19,000 gallons of water, whichever comes first. Regular replacement ensures optimal filtration performance.
- Shut off the cold water supply to the filter system.
- Twist the old filter cartridge counter-clockwise to unlock and pull it down to remove.
- Insert the new filter cartridge into the filter head and twist clockwise to lock it into place.
- Turn on the cold water supply and flush the new filter for 5 minutes before use.

6.2. Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the filter system and faucet with a clean, damp cloth as needed. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Slow Water Flow | Clogged filter cartridge; hoses connected backward. | Replace the filter cartridge (WD-RF15). Check hose connections to ensure inlet/outlet are correct. Flush the system for 10 minutes after correcting. |
| Water Leaks | Loose connections; improperly seated tubing. | Ensure all fittings are tightened securely. Re-seat tubing by pushing it firmly into the quick-connect fittings until it bottoms out. |
| Bad Taste/Odor | Filter cartridge needs replacement. | Replace the filter cartridge (WD-RF15). |
