Descaling (Every 2-3 Months)
Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee machine, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descale your machine regularly.
- Prepare Descaling Solution: Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water. Fill the water reservoir with this solution up to the "MAX" level.
- Run Brew Cycle: Place the empty thermal carafe on the heating plate. Press the ON/AUTO/OFF button to start a brewing cycle.
- Pause and Soak: After about half of the solution has brewed through, turn off the machine and let it soak for at least 15 minutes.
- Complete Cycle: Turn the machine back on to complete the brewing cycle.
- Rinse Cycles: Discard the descaling solution. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water and run at least two full brewing cycles with just water to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.
