5. Setup & Installation
5.1 Window Kit Installation
- Assemble the adjustable window brackets to fit your window opening (26.5-48 inches).
- Securely place the assembled window kit into the window frame.
- Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the window kit connector.

5.2 Exhaust Hose Connection
- Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the designated port on the back of the portable air conditioner unit.
- Ensure a tight seal to prevent air leakage.
5.3 Drainage Connection
For continuous drainage, connect the provided drainage hose to the drainage port located at the bottom rear of the unit. Direct the hose to a suitable drain or collection bucket.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel on top of the unit features an LED display and touch buttons for various functions. The display shows the current temperature setting.
6.2 Remote Control Usage
The included remote control allows you to operate all functions of the air conditioner from a distance. Insert the two AAA batteries into the remote before first use.
6.3 Smart Control (Wi-Fi & Voice)
Download the MideaAir app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your portable AC to your home Wi-Fi network. Once connected, you can control the unit remotely and integrate it with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for voice commands.

6.4 Operating Modes
- Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling for rooms up to 275 sq. ft. Set desired temperature between 62°F and 90°F.
- Dehumidify Mode: Reduces humidity in the air.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Choose between Low, Mid, High, or Auto fan speeds.
6.5 Fan Speed
Select your preferred fan speed (Low, Mid, High) or choose Auto mode. In Auto mode, the unit adjusts fan speed based on room temperature.
6.6 Timer Function
Set the unit to turn on or off automatically after a specified period, up to 24 hours.
6.7 Sleep Mode
Activates an energy-saving mode that automatically adjusts the temperature overnight for optimal comfort and reduced energy consumption.
6.8 Swing Function
Press the 'Swing' button to activate the auto-swing air flow louvers, which move air around the room for more even cooling.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Air Filter Cleaning
The unit features a removable and reusable air filter. An indicator light will notify you when it's time to clean the filter. We recommend cleaning the filter weekly to maintain performance and air quality.
- Gently remove the air filter from the unit.
- Rinse the filter under running water to remove dust and debris.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.

7.2 Water Drainage
The unit collects moisture during dehumidification. Ensure the drainage hose is properly connected for continuous drainage, or periodically check the internal water tank and drain manually when the unit indicates it is full.

- Insufficient cooling: Verify that the exhaust hose is properly installed and sealed. Ensure the air filter is clean. Check that windows and doors are closed to prevent warm air entry.
- Water leakage: Confirm the drainage hose is correctly connected and not blocked. If draining manually, ensure the drain plug is securely in place when not draining.
- Unusual noise: Check for any obstructions in the air inlets or outlets. Ensure the unit is on a level surface.
