1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the SHARDOR Conical Burr Coffee Grinder. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new coffee grinder. Please read it thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.
Important Safety Instructions
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Do not immerse the motor base in water or other liquids.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
- Avoid contact with moving parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- Ensure bean hopper and grind container are securely in place before operating.
- Do not remove the bean hopper or grind container until the burr has completely stopped.

3. Setup
Before first use, follow these steps to set up your coffee grinder:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Clean: Wash the bean hopper lid, bean hopper, grind container lid, and grind container in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The motor base should be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.
- Assemble:
- Place the grind container with its lid onto the motor base, ensuring it is securely seated.
- Align the bean hopper with the motor base and twist it clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the arrows align for proper seating. If not correctly seated, the grinder will not operate.
- Place the bean hopper lid on top of the bean hopper.
- Position: Place the assembled grinder on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
- Connect: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to grind your coffee beans:
- Add Coffee Beans: Open the bean hopper lid and pour whole roasted coffee beans into the bean hopper. Do not fill past the MAX line.
- Select Grind Setting: Rotate the grind selection dial to choose your desired grind fineness. Refer to Section 5 for guidance on grind settings.
- Select Cup Quantity: Rotate the cup selection dial to choose the number of cups you wish to grind (from 2 to 12 cups).
- Start Grinding: Press the Power Button / Start-Stop Button to begin grinding. The grinder will automatically stop once the selected quantity has been ground.
- Collect Ground Coffee: Once grinding is complete, carefully remove the grind container from the base. Remove the lid and pour the ground coffee into your brewing device.

5. Grind Settings Guide
The SHARDOR Conical Burr Coffee Grinder offers 14 precise grind settings, allowing you to achieve the optimal grind for various brewing methods. The settings range from "Coarser" (14) to "Finer" (1).

Note: These are general recommendations. Adjust the grind setting based on your personal preference, coffee bean type, and specific brewing equipment to achieve your desired taste.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your grinder. Always unplug the grinder before cleaning.
Cleaning the Burr Mill
- Unplug: Ensure the grinder is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Remove Bean Hopper: Twist the bean hopper counter-clockwise to unlock and lift it off the motor base. Empty any remaining coffee beans.
- Remove Upper Burr: Grasp the metal handle of the upper burr mill and twist it counter-clockwise to unlock. Lift the upper burr out of the grinder.
- Clean Burrs: Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any ground coffee particles from both the upper and lower burr mills. You can also use a soft, dry cloth. Do not wash the burr mills with water.
- Clean Grind Chute: Use the brush to clean the grind chute where the ground coffee exits the burr chamber.
- Reassemble: Place the upper burr back into position, aligning the tabs, and twist clockwise to lock it. Reattach the bean hopper by aligning the arrows and twisting clockwise until it locks.
Cleaning Other Parts
- Bean Hopper & Grind Container: These can be washed in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
- Motor Base: Wipe the exterior of the motor base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SHARDOR coffee grinder, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions:
