4. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is critical for child safety. Always refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for specific car seat installation instructions and compatible seating positions.
4.1. Installation with ISOFIX and Top Tether (9-25 kg)
- Locate the ISOFIX anchor points in your vehicle.
- Extend the ISOFIX connectors from the car seat base.
- Align and push the ISOFIX connectors onto the vehicle's anchor points until they click securely into place. Ensure the indicators turn green.
- Push the car seat firmly against the vehicle seat back to remove any slack.
- Attach the top tether strap to the designated top tether anchor point in your vehicle. Tighten the strap until it is taut and the indicator (if present) shows correct tension.

4.2. Installation with Vehicle Seat Belt (15-36 kg, or when using as booster)
When using the car seat as a Group 2/3 booster, the 5-point harness should be stored within the seat. The child is then secured using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.
- Position the car seat on the vehicle seat.
- Guide the vehicle's lap belt through the designated red belt guides on the car seat base.
- Buckle the vehicle seat belt.
- Guide the shoulder belt through the red shoulder belt guide near the headrest. Ensure the shoulder belt lies flat across the child's shoulder and chest, not on the neck.
- Pull the vehicle seat belt taut to remove any slack.

5. Operating and Adjustments
5.1. Adjusting the Headrest and Harness (Grow Together™)
The Grow Together™ headrest and harness system allows for simultaneous adjustment without re-threading the harness.
- Locate the headrest adjustment lever, typically at the top or back of the headrest.
- Squeeze the lever and pull the headrest upwards or push it downwards to the desired height.
- Ensure the harness straps are at or just below the child's shoulders when forward-facing.

5.2. Securing Your Child with the 5-Point Harness
- Place your child in the car seat.
- Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the buckle until they click.
- Pull the harness adjustment strap at the front of the seat to tighten the harness. Ensure it is snug against your child's body, with no slack.
- To loosen the harness, press the harness release button (usually located under a flap at the front of the seat) and pull the shoulder straps outwards.
5.3. Using the Guard Surround Safety™ Panels
The Guard Surround Safety™ panels provide additional side impact protection. These panels can be extended outwards or folded into the seat when not in use or for space-saving.

6. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning Fabric Covers: The fabric covers can be removed for cleaning. Refer to the care label on the fabric for specific washing instructions. Typically, machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Do not bleach. Air dry only.
- Cleaning Hard Parts: Wipe plastic and metal parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Harness Care: Do not machine wash, bleach, or iron the harness straps. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Storage: Store the car seat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
7. Troubleshooting
- Car Seat Feels Loose After Installation:
Solution: Ensure ISOFIX connectors are fully engaged (green indicators visible). For belt installation, pull the vehicle seat belt taut to remove all slack. Check that the car seat does not move more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Harness is Difficult to Tighten/Loosen:
Solution: Check for any twists in the harness straps. Ensure the harness release button is fully depressed when loosening. If tightening, pull the adjustment strap straight out, not at an angle.
- Child's Head Falls Forward While Sleeping:
Solution: Ensure the headrest is adjusted to the correct height, with the harness straps at or just below the child's shoulders. Verify the car seat is installed at the correct recline angle for your child's age and the vehicle seat contour.
