3. Setup Guide

1. Install Battery: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard. Open the cover and insert one 1.5V AA battery (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Locate USB Receiver: The compact USB receiver is typically stored inside the battery compartment for convenience. Carefully remove it.
3. Connect USB Receiver: Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your desktop, laptop, or netbook computer.
4. Power On Keyboard: Locate the On/Off switch on the top right side of the keyboard and slide it to the "On" position. The keyboard is plug-and-play, requiring no additional software installation.
5. Adjust Tilt (Optional): Flip out the adjustable tilt legs on the underside of the keyboard to achieve your preferred typing angle.

4.1 Basic Typing

4.2 Multimedia Keys and Hotkeys

The keyboard features 14 dedicated multimedia hotkeys located above the function keys (F1-F12) and integrated into the F-keys themselves. These provide instant access to frequently used functions.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean your keyboard, gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, especially after spills, ensure the keyboard is powered off and the USB receiver is disconnected. The spill-proof design allows liquids to drain, but it is recommended to dry the keyboard thoroughly before resuming use.

5.2 Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator light (located near the On/Off switch) begins to flash or the keyboard becomes unresponsive, it's time to replace the battery. Follow the steps in Section 3.1 to replace the 1.5V AA battery.

  • Ensure the keyboard is within the 33 ft (10m) operating range of the USB receiver.
• Keys are sticky or unresponsive:
  • Clean the keyboard as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Ensure no debris is lodged under the keys.
• Battery indicator light is flashing:
  • This indicates low battery. Replace the AA battery.
