Setup

Before First Use:

  3. Assemble the unit by placing the filter funnel into the lower chamber and the transparent carafe onto the lower chamber, ensuring a secure fit.
  4. Perform a trial run with water only (without coffee) to clean the internal components. Fill the lower chamber with water up to the 6-cup mark, assemble, place on the power base, and turn on. Discard the water after brewing.

Ensure all parts are correctly assembled before each use. The transparent carafe should be securely screwed onto the lower chamber, and the filter funnel should be properly seated.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew espresso:

  1. Fill with Water: Unscrew the transparent carafe from the lower chamber. Fill the lower chamber with fresh, cold water. For 3 cups, fill to the 3-cup mark. For 6 cups, fill to the 6-cup mark. Do not exceed the safety valve level.
  2. Add Coffee: Insert the filter funnel into the lower chamber. Fill the filter funnel with finely ground espresso coffee. Do not tamp the coffee. Level the coffee gently.
  3. Assemble: Screw the transparent carafe firmly back onto the lower chamber, ensuring a tight seal.
  4. Place on Base: Place the assembled espresso maker onto the 360° swiveling power base.
  5. Start Brewing: Plug the power base into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the On/Off switch to the 'On' position. The indicator light will illuminate.
  6. Monitor Brewing: The transparent carafe allows you to observe the espresso as it brews and rises into the upper chamber.
  7. Automatic Shut-Off: The espresso maker will automatically shut off once the brewing cycle is complete, preventing the coffee from burning.
  8. Serve: Carefully remove the espresso maker from the power base using the cool-touch handle. Pour and serve your fresh espresso.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your espresso maker.

Daily Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Disassemble the transparent carafe, filter funnel, and lower chamber.
  3. Discard used coffee grounds.
  4. Wash all removable parts (carafe, funnel, filter plate) with warm, soapy water. Use a soft brush to remove any coffee residue.
  5. Rinse thoroughly under running water.
  6. Dry all parts completely before reassembling or storing.
  7. Wipe the exterior of the lower chamber and the power base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the lower chamber or power base in water.

Descaling:

Depending on water hardness, mineral deposits may accumulate over time. Descale your espresso maker every 2-3 months or as needed.

  1. Fill the lower chamber with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution according to product instructions.
  2. Place the filter funnel (without coffee) and transparent carafe back on the lower chamber.
  3. Place on the power base and turn on, allowing the solution to brew through.
  4. After the cycle, discard the solution.
  5. Run 2-3 cycles with fresh water only to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.

Troubleshooting
