Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to build your Hot Wheels Wood Racers.
- Prepare the Wood Bodies: Use the provided sandpaper to gently smooth any rough edges on the two wooden car bodies. This will ensure a better surface for painting and decorating.
- Paint the Car Bodies: Select your desired paint colors from the paint pods. Using the paint brushes, carefully apply paint to the wooden car bodies. You can follow the suggested Hulk (green/purple) and Ironman (red/yellow) color schemes or create your own unique designs. Allow the paint to dry completely before proceeding to the next step.
- Apply Deco Sheets (Stickers): Once the paint is dry, carefully peel the stickers from the deco sheets. Apply the Hulk-themed stickers to one car body and the Ironman-themed stickers to the other. Press firmly to ensure they adhere well.
- Attach the Wheels: For each car body, insert a plastic nail through the center hole of a wheel. Then, carefully push the nail through the designated axle hole on the car body. Repeat this process for all four wheels on each car, ensuring the wheels can spin freely. Use the provided glue if necessary to secure the plastic nails in place, but allow for wheel rotation.
- Final Drying: If glue was used, allow ample time for it to dry and set according to the glue's instructions before handling or playing with the finished cars.

Operating Your Wood Racers
Once assembled and dry, your Hot Wheels Wood Racers are ready for play. These vehicles are designed for imaginative play and gentle rolling on smooth surfaces. Engage in friendly races or create your own superhero adventures.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your Hot Wheels Wood Racers:
- Cleaning: Wipe the cars with a dry or slightly damp cloth if they become dusty. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture, which could damage the paint or wood.
- Storage: Store the cars in a dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures to prevent warping or paint fading.
- Repairs: If a wheel becomes loose, re-secure it with a small amount of wood-safe adhesive.
Troubleshooting
- Paint Not Drying: Ensure paint is applied in thin, even coats. Allow sufficient drying time in a well-ventilated area. Humidity can affect drying times.
- Wheels Not Spinning Freely: Check that the plastic nails are not inserted too tightly, preventing the wheels from rotating. Ensure no paint or glue has seeped into the wheel mechanism.
- Stickers Not Adhering: Make sure the car surface is clean and dry before applying stickers. Press firmly from the center outwards to remove air bubbles.
