2. Important Safety Information

• Tip-Over Safety Switch: The heater is equipped with a safety switch that automatically shuts off the unit if it is accidentally tipped over.
• Overheat Protection: An internal safety device automatically turns off the heater if it overheats. If this occurs, unplug the heater, wait 10 minutes, and then plug it back in.
• Cool-Touch Exterior: The exterior housing is designed to remain cool to the touch during operation, reducing the risk of burns.
• Always place the heater on a firm, level surface. Avoid placing it on soft surfaces like beds or rugs where it may tip over or block openings.

4. Setup

The Lasko 754201 Portable Ceramic Space Heater arrives fully assembled and ready for use. No additional assembly is required.

1. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clear space around the heater to allow for proper airflow and prevent fire hazards.
2. Power Connection: Plug the heater directly into a 120V wall outlet. Do not use extension cords, power strips, or surge protectors with this appliance.

5. Operating Instructions

The heater features two control knobs on the top panel:

• Left Knob (Function Control):
  • 0 (Off): Turns the heater off.
  • Fan Only: Activates the fan without heat.
  • 1 (Low Heat): Provides 900W of heat.
  • 2 (High Heat): Provides 1500W of heat.
• Right Knob (Thermostat Control): Adjusts the desired room temperature.

To Operate:

1. Plug the heater into a suitable electrical outlet.
2. Turn the Function Control knob to your desired setting (Fan Only, 1, or 2).
3. Turn the Thermostat Control knob to the maximum setting (clockwise). Once the room reaches your desired comfort level, slowly turn the thermostat knob counter-clockwise until the heater turns off. The heater will now cycle on and off to maintain this temperature.
4. To turn off the heater, turn the Function Control knob to 0 (Off) and unplug the unit from the wall outlet.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning is recommended to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

• Before Cleaning: Always unplug the heater from the wall outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Exterior Cleaning: Use a soft cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater. Do not use water, waxes, polishes, or any chemical solutions.

7. Troubleshooting

• Check the Thermostat Control knob. If it is set too low, the heater may not activate. Turn it clockwise to a higher setting.
• Confirm the heater is on a stable, level surface. The tip-over safety switch will prevent operation if the unit is not upright.
• If the heater has shut off due to overheating, unplug it for 10 minutes to reset the overheat protection, then plug it back in.
