Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  4. If the battery symbol appears on the display, replace both batteries.

2. Setting Date and Time

After inserting batteries, the device will prompt you to set the date and time. Follow the on-screen instructions using the designated buttons (refer to the device's specific button layout for 'SET' and 'MEM' buttons, typically).

  1. Place the cuff on your left wrist, approximately 1-2 cm above your hand.
  2. Ensure the palm of your hand is facing upwards.
  3. Tighten the cuff snugly but not too tightly. There should be enough space for one finger between the cuff and your wrist.

3. Taking a Measurement

  1. Press the START/STOP button to turn on the device. The cuff will automatically inflate.
  2. Remain still and silent during the measurement.
  3. Once the measurement is complete, the systolic, diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed.
  4. The device will automatically store the reading in the selected user memory.
  5. Press START/STOP again to turn off the device, or it will automatically switch off after a period of inactivity.

The Sanitas SBC 26 classifies your blood pressure readings according to the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. The device's display or an integrated chart helps you understand your results:
