3. Setup
3.1 Initial Setup
- Upon first use, ensure any protective films or battery tabs are removed from the watch face and buttons.
- The watch may display a default time. You will need to set your home city and current time.
3.2 Setting Home City and Time
- In Timekeeping Mode, press and hold the ADJUST button (top left) until the city code starts to flash. This indicates the setting mode.
- Use the SEARCH button (bottom right) to scroll through the city codes until your desired home city is displayed.
- Press the MODE button (bottom left) to move to the next setting (e.g., DST, 12/24-hour format, seconds, hour, minute, year, month, day).
- Use the SEARCH button (bottom right) to change the flashing value.
- Once all settings are correct, press the ADJUST button (top left) to exit the setting mode.
4. Operating Modes
Your Casio AE-1200WH watch features several modes accessible via the MODE button (bottom left).
4.1 Timekeeping Mode
This is the default mode, displaying the current time, date, and day of the week for your home city. The small LC analog display also shows the current time.
4.2 World Time Mode
To view times in different cities:
- From Timekeeping Mode, press the MODE button (bottom left) to cycle to World Time Mode.
- Use the SEARCH button (bottom right) to scroll through the available city codes. The world map display will highlight the selected time zone.
- To return to Timekeeping Mode, press the MODE button until the main time display reappears.

4.3 Alarm Mode
Your watch has five independent daily alarms.
- From Timekeeping Mode, press the MODE button (bottom left) to cycle to Alarm Mode.
- Use the SEARCH button (bottom right) to select the desired alarm number (AL1 to AL5).
- Press and hold the ADJUST button (top left) until the alarm time starts to flash.
- Use the SEARCH button to change the hour and minute settings. Press MODE to switch between hour and minute.
- Press ADJUST to set the alarm. You can also toggle the hourly time signal (SIG) on/off in this mode.
4.4 Stopwatch Mode
The stopwatch measures elapsed time up to 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds.
- From Timekeeping Mode, press the MODE button (bottom left) to cycle to Stopwatch Mode.
- Press the START/STOP button (top right) to start and stop the stopwatch.
- Press the ADJUST button (top left) to reset the stopwatch to zero.
4.5 Countdown Timer Mode
The countdown timer can be set for up to 24 hours.
- From Timekeeping Mode, press the MODE button (bottom left) to cycle to Countdown Timer Mode.
- Press and hold the ADJUST button (top left) until the timer setting starts to flash.
- Use the SEARCH button (bottom right) to set the desired countdown time. Press MODE to switch between hours and minutes.
- Press ADJUST to set the timer. Press START/STOP (top right) to start and stop the countdown.
4.6 LED Light (Illuminator)
To illuminate the display:
- Press the LIGHT button (top right) to activate the LED backlight. The light will stay on for a few seconds.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This means it is suitable for everyday use, swimming, and snorkeling. It is not suitable for scuba diving or prolonged exposure to high-pressure water activities.
- Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
- Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can damage the seals.
5.2 Battery Life
The watch is equipped with a long-life lithium metal battery designed to last approximately 10 years. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified technician.
5.3 Cleaning
