Setup Instructions

1. Setting Up the Tripod

  1. Extend Legs: Release the leg locks on each of the three aluminum alloy legs. Extend the legs to the desired height and securely fasten the leg locks.
  2. Adjust Center Pole: Loosen the knob for the adjustable center pole. Raise or lower the pole to achieve additional height, then tighten the knob to secure it.
  3. Leveling: Use the integrated bubble level indicator on the tripod head to ensure the tripod is level on the ground. Adjust leg lengths as needed.
  4. Pan Head Adjustment: The 3-way pan head allows for tilt motion. Loosen the appropriate handles to adjust the horizontal pan, vertical tilt, and side tilt, then tighten to lock the position.

2. Attaching the Smartphone Mount

  • Locate the screw thread on the top of the tripod's quick release plate.
  • Align the screw hole at the base of the smartphone mount with the tripod's screw thread.
  • Rotate the smartphone mount clockwise onto the tripod's screw until it is securely fastened. Do not overtighten.
  • The mount features two mounting locations; you can unscrew the back to separate the two components if desired for alternative mounting.

3. Inserting Your Smartphone

  • Gently pull apart the spring-loaded clamps of the smartphone mount.
  • Carefully place your smartphone between the rubber-padded clamps. Ensure the phone is centered and held securely. The rubber padding protects your phone from scratches.
  • The mount can accommodate smartphones with widths between 2.2 inches (5.5 cm) and 4 inches (10.3 cm).

4. Pairing the Wireless Remote

  1. Power On: Locate the ON/OFF switch on the side of the wireless remote and slide it to the "ON" position. A blue indicator light will flash.
  2. Activate Bluetooth: On your smartphone, go to your Bluetooth settings and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
  3. Pair Device: Look for "AB Shutter3" or a similar device name in the list of available Bluetooth devices on your phone. Select it to pair.
  4. Confirmation: Once paired, the blue indicator light on the remote will stop flashing and remain solid. No additional app download is required.
  5. Ready to Use: Open your smartphone's camera application. The remote is now ready to capture photos or start/stop video recording.

Operating Instructions

Using the Tripod and Smartphone Mount

  • Positioning: Adjust the tripod legs and center pole to achieve the desired height and stability for your shot.
  • Angle Adjustment: Use the pan head handles to precisely control the camera angle. Loosen, adjust, and then tighten the handles for horizontal pan, vertical tilt, and side tilt.
  • Orientation: The smartphone mount rotates 360 degrees. You can easily switch between landscape and portrait mode by rotating your phone within the mount without needing to remove it.

Using the Wireless Remote

  • Ensure the remote is paired with your smartphone (refer to "Pairing the Wireless Remote" in the Setup section).
  • Open your smartphone's camera app.
  • Press the larger button (labeled "CAMERA 360" or similar, often for iOS) or the smaller button (often for Android) on the remote to trigger the camera shutter. The remote can operate up to 30 feet away from your smartphone.
  • For video recording, pressing the button typically starts and stops recording, depending on your phone's camera app settings.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the tripod, mount, and remote with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: When not in use, collapse the tripod legs, remove the smartphone mount, and store all components in the provided water-resistant carrying case. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Battery Replacement (Remote): The wireless remote uses a CR2032 coin cell battery. If the remote stops responding or the indicator light does not illuminate, replace the battery by opening the battery compartment on the back of the remote.

Troubleshooting

Wireless Remote Not Connecting

  • Check Power: Ensure the remote's ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position and the blue indicator light is flashing.
  • Battery: Replace the CR2032 battery if the indicator light does not turn on.
  • Bluetooth on Phone: Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  • Re-pair: Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings, "forget" or "unpair" "AB Shutter3" (or similar), then attempt to pair again.
  • Distance: Ensure the remote is within 30 feet of your smartphone.

Smartphone Not Stable in Mount

  • Surface: Place the tripod on a firm, flat, and level surface. Avoid uneven ground.
