5.3 Display Indications and Fever Alarm
The tri-color backlit LCD screen provides visual alerts based on the measured body temperature:
- Blue/Green Backlight: Indicates normal body temperature (typically 32.0°C - 37.5°C or 89.6°F - 99.5°F).
- Orange Backlight: Indicates a slightly elevated temperature or mild fever (typically 37.6°C - 38.0°C or 99.7°F - 100.4°F).
- Red Backlight with Alarm: Indicates high temperature or fever (typically above 38.0°C or 100.4°F). The device will also emit sound alerts.
For object temperature measurements, the display will typically remain blue/green.
6. Memory Function
The thermometer can store up to 30 groups of temperature readings. To access the memory:
- With the device powered on, press and hold the measurement trigger for a few seconds.
- The display will show "Memory" and list the stored readings.

- Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Zoook InfraTemp thermometer, consider the following:
- No Display/Device Not Turning On: Check battery installation and replace with fresh AAA batteries if necessary.
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the sensor is clean. Verify the measurement distance (3-5 cm). Avoid strong electromagnetic interference from other electronic devices. Ensure the thermometer has acclimated to the ambient temperature for at least 30 minutes if moved from a significantly different temperature environment.
- "Lo" or "Hi" Reading: This indicates a temperature outside the measurable range (32°C - 43°C for body, or the object range).
- Mode Resets to Body: The device may default back to Body mode after auto-shutdown. Re-select Object mode if needed.
