4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your high-pressure cleaner for first use.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage during transit.
  2. Handle Assembly: Attach the handle to the main unit if it's not pre-assembled. Secure it with the provided screws.
  3. Wheel Assembly (if applicable): If the wheels are not attached, secure them to the base of the unit.
  4. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Connect one end of the high-pressure hose to the high-pressure outlet on the cleaner unit and the other end to the high-pressure gun. Ensure connections are secure.
  5. Connect Water Supply: Connect a garden hose (not included) to the water inlet on the cleaner unit. Ensure the water supply has sufficient flow and pressure. It is recommended to use a water filter to prevent debris from entering the pump.
  6. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before plugging in.
  7. Purge Air: Before starting the motor, turn on the water supply and squeeze the trigger on the high-pressure gun to allow water to flow through the system and purge any air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges from the nozzle.

5.1 Starting the High-Pressure Cleaner

  1. Ensure the unit is properly set up and connected to water and power.
  2. Turn on the water supply completely.
  3. Turn the main power switch on the unit to the "ON" position. The motor will start.
  4. Point the high-pressure gun at the surface to be cleaned, maintaining a safe distance.
  5. Squeeze the trigger on the high-pressure gun to begin spraying. The motor will run continuously while the trigger is pressed.

5.2 Using Different Nozzles and Attachments

The HCE2500 includes various nozzles and attachments for different cleaning needs:

To change attachments, ensure the unit is off and the water supply is closed. Release any residual pressure by squeezing the trigger. Twist and pull to remove the current attachment, then push and twist to secure the new one.

5.3 Self-Suction Function

The Scheppach HCE2500 is equipped with a self-suction function, allowing it to draw water from an external source like a bucket or water butt, useful when a direct tap connection is not available. Ensure the water source is clean and free of debris.

To use the self-suction function, connect a suitable suction hose (not included) to the water inlet of the cleaner and immerse the other end into your water source. Follow the purging air steps before starting the motor.
