3. Setup Guide

3.1 Physical Installation

1. Ensure the power to the light fixture is turned off at the main switch before installation.
2. Carefully screw the Boxlood E14 Smart Candle Bulb into a standard E14 light socket. Do not overtighten.
3. Turn the power back on. The bulb should flash rapidly, indicating it is in pairing mode. If it does not flash, turn the bulb off and on 3-5 times until it enters pairing mode.

3.2 Smart Life App Download and Registration

1. Scan the QR code provided in the product packaging or search for "Smart Life" in the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
2. Download and install the Smart Life app.
3. Open the app and register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

3.3 Device Pairing (Wi-Fi Connection)

The Boxlood Smart Candle Bulb operates on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the pairing process. If your router combines 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, you may need to temporarily disable the 5GHz band or separate them in your router settings for successful pairing.

1. Open the Smart Life app.
2. Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
3. Select "Lighting" > "Light Source (Wi-Fi)".
4. Confirm that the bulb is rapidly flashing. If not, reset it by turning it off and on 3-5 times until it flashes rapidly.
5. Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process. The bulb will stop flashing once successfully connected.
7. Once connected, you can rename the bulb for easier identification (e.g., "Bedroom Light").

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 App Control

The Smart Life app provides comprehensive control over your Boxlood Smart Candle Bulb.

• On/Off: Toggle the power button within the app to turn the bulb on or off.
• Brightness Adjustment: Use the slider to adjust the light intensity from 0% to 100%.
• Color Selection: Choose from 16 million colors using the color wheel or predefined color palettes.
• Color Temperature Adjustment: Adjust the white light from warm (yellowish) to cool (bluish) to suit your preference.
• Scene Modes: Select from various pre-set scenes (e.g., Reading, Party, Leisure, Sleep, Work) or create custom scenes.

4.2 Voice Control (Alexa & Google Home)

To enable voice control, link your Smart Life account with Amazon Alexa or Google Home through their respective apps.

• For Amazon Alexa:
  1. Open the Alexa app.
  2. Go to "Skills & Games".
  3. Search for "Smart Life" and enable the skill.
  4. Link your Smart Life account.
  5. Discover devices.
• For Google Home:
  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap "+" > "Set up device" > "Works with Google".
  3. Search for "Smart Life" and link your account.

Once linked, you can use voice commands such as:

4.3 Group Control

Control multiple Boxlood Smart Candle Bulbs simultaneously by creating groups within the Smart Life app.

1. In the Smart Life app, select one of your bulbs.
2. Tap the "..." or settings icon in the top right corner.
3. Select "Create Group" or "Group Management".
4. Choose the bulbs you wish to include in the group and name the group (e.g., "Living Room Lights").
5. Now you can control all bulbs in that group with a single command or tap.
