Setup

Before first use, ensure all components are present and assembled correctly. Refer to the assembly instructions provided in the packaging.

  1. Add Engine Oil: The engine is shipped without oil. Add 0.6 quarts of 10W-30 oil (funnel included) to the engine crankcase. Do not overfill.
  2. Add Fuel: Fill the 0.9-gallon fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not use E85 or mixed fuels. Ensure the fuel cap is securely tightened.
  3. Connect Water Supply: Connect a garden hose (minimum 5/8 inch diameter) to the water inlet on the pump. Ensure the water supply is clean and free of debris. Turn on the water supply fully.
  4. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Attach one end of the 25-foot high-pressure hose to the pump's high-pressure outlet and the other end to the trigger gun. Ensure connections are tight.
  5. Attach Spray Wand and Nozzle: Connect the spray wand to the trigger gun. Select the desired quick-connect nozzle and insert it into the end of the spray wand until it clicks into place.
  6. Purge Air from System: Squeeze the trigger gun to allow water to flow through the pump and hose, expelling any air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges from the nozzle. This prevents damage to the pump.

Operating Instructions

Starting the Pressure Washer:

  1. Ensure the unit is on a level surface and the water supply is fully open.
  2. Check oil and fuel levels.
  3. Move the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
  4. Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position (cold engine) or "RUN" position (warm engine).
  5. Move the engine switch to the "ON" position.
  6. Pull the recoil starter handle firmly and steadily until the engine starts.
  7. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.

Using the Pressure Washer:

  • Nozzle Selection: Choose the appropriate quick-connect nozzle for your task.
    • 0Ș (Red): Pin-point stream for tough, concentrated cleaning. Use with extreme caution.
    • 15Ș (Yellow): Narrow, high-pressure spray for intense cleaning of small areas.
    • 25Ș (Green): Medium-angle spray for general cleaning of larger surfaces.
    • 40Ș (White): Wide, gentle spray for light cleaning and rinsing.
    • Soap (Black): Low-pressure spray for applying detergents.
  • Detergent Application: Fill the onboard 1-gallon detergent tank with pressure washer safe detergent. Attach the black soap nozzle. The pressure washer will automatically draw detergent when operating at low pressure with the soap nozzle.
  • Cleaning Technique: Hold the spray wand firmly with both hands. Start spraying a few feet away from the surface and gradually move closer until the desired cleaning effect is achieved. Maintain a consistent distance and angle for even cleaning.

Shutting Down the Pressure Washer:

  1. If using detergent, switch to a high-pressure nozzle (e.g., 40Ș) and run clean water through the system for a few minutes to flush out any remaining detergent.
  2. Turn off the engine switch.
  3. Turn off the fuel valve.
  4. Turn off the water supply.
  5. Squeeze the trigger gun to release any remaining pressure in the system.
  6. Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure washer.

  • Engine Oil: Check oil level before each use. Change oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or annually.
  • Air Filter: Inspect the air filter regularly and clean or replace as needed, especially in dusty conditions.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug annually. Replace if necessary.
  • Fuel System: Use a fuel stabilizer if storing the unit for more than 30 days. Drain the fuel tank and carburetor if storing for longer periods.
  • Water Inlet Filter: Clean the water inlet filter screen regularly to prevent debris from entering the pump.
  • Pump Maintenance: For long-term storage or in freezing temperatures, use a pump protector/antifreeze solution to prevent damage.
  • General Cleaning: Keep the unit clean and free of dirt and debris.
