1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Magnavox MM435M 3-Piece Compact CD Shelf System. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper function and to maximize your listening experience. This system features a CD player, digital FM stereo radio, Bluetooth wireless technology, and an AUX input for versatile audio playback.

2. Important Safety Information
Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent electric shock, fire, or damage to the unit:
- Do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
- Do not block any ventilation openings.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the unit.
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

3. What's in the Box
Upon unpacking, please ensure all items listed below are present and in good condition:

4. Setup Guide
4.1 Connecting the Speakers
Connect the speaker wires from the satellite speakers to the corresponding speaker output terminals on the rear of the main unit. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative) for optimal sound quality.

4.2 Power Connection
Plug the AC power adapter into the DC IN jack on the main unit, then plug the other end into a standard wall outlet (AC 120V ~ 60Hz).
4.3 Initial Power On and Time Setting
Press the POWER/FUNCTION button to turn on the unit. The LCD display will illuminate. To set the time:
- Press and hold the TIME SET button. The hour digits will flash.
- Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press TIME SET again. The minute digits will flash.
- Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press TIME SET one more time to confirm and exit.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Selecting a Function
Press the POWER/FUNCTION button repeatedly to cycle through the available modes: CD, FM Radio, Bluetooth, and AUX.
5.2 CD Player Operation
- Select CD mode.
- Open the CD compartment lid by gently lifting it.
- Place a CD (CD-R / CD-W compatible) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
- Close the CD compartment lid. The unit will read the disc and begin playback automatically.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons to control playback.
5.3 FM Radio Operation
- Select FM Radio mode.
- Extend the FM antenna for best reception.
- Press TUNE + or TUNE - to manually tune to a station.
- To auto-scan and store stations: Press and hold PLAY/PAUSE (or SCAN on some models) to automatically scan and save available FM stations to presets.
- To recall a preset station: Use the MEM + or MEM - buttons.
5.4 Bluetooth Wireless Technology
- Select Bluetooth mode. The LCD display will show "BT" and flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "MM435M" from the list of devices. Once paired, the "BT" indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.
- You can now play audio from your device through the shelf system. Use your device or the system's controls for playback.

5.5 AUX Input
Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, older smartphone) to the AUX IN port on the front of the main unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). Select AUX mode to play audio from the connected device.
5.6 Using the Remote Control
The included remote control provides convenient access to all major functions. Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into the remote before use. Point the remote directly at the main unit's front panel.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Unit
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish. For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc.
6.2 Speaker Care
Keep the speaker grilles free from dust. Avoid placing heavy objects on the speakers or exposing them to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
