4. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Tefal steam iron.
4.1 Anti-Calc Collector Cleaning
The unique removable anti-calc collector captures limescale particles, preventing them from affecting steam performance. Clean it regularly, especially when the anti-calc indicator light illuminates.
- Ensure the appliance is unplugged and completely cool.
- Locate the anti-calc collector on the side of the base unit.
- Twist and pull out the collector.
- Rinse the collector under running water to remove limescale.
- Reinsert the collector firmly until it clicks into place.

4.2 Soleplate Cleaning
To clean the soleplate, ensure the iron is cool. Wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metallic scouring pads, as these can damage the Durilium AirGlide coating.
4.3 Storage
After use, allow the iron to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Secure the iron onto its base unit using the locking system for easy and safe transport and storage.
