Initial Setup and Time Setting

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the watch from its packaging. Ensure all protective films are removed from the watch face, case back, and bracelet.
  2. Crown Position: The watch crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) has multiple positions.
    • Position 0 (Normal): Pushed in completely against the case. This is the normal operating position.
    • Position 1 (Date Setting): Pulled out one click. Used for setting the date.
    • Position 2 (Time Setting): Pulled out two clicks. Used for setting the time.
  3. Setting the Time:
    • Pull the crown out to Position 2.
    • Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
    • Once the time is set, push the crown back in to Position 0.
  4. Setting the Date:
    • Pull the crown out to Position 1.
    • Turn the crown to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the date change mechanism.
    • Once the date is set, push the crown back in to Position 0.
  5. Bracelet Adjustment: The watch features a deployment clasp. For proper fit, the bracelet may need to be adjusted by a professional jeweler to add or remove links.

Operating Instructions

Daily Use

  • Timekeeping: Your MVMT Odyssey watch is powered by a precise Miyota Quartz movement, ensuring accurate timekeeping.
  • Water Resistance: This watch is water resistant up to 5 ATM (50 meters). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief submersion in water. However, it is not recommended for swimming, bathing, diving, or any water sports where it would be subjected to significant water pressure or prolonged submersion. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
  • Temperature Exposure: Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (above 60°C / 140°F or below 0°C / 32°F) or sudden temperature changes, as this can affect the battery life and movement accuracy.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, such as those produced by speakers, refrigerators, or other electronic devices, as this can temporarily affect the accuracy of the quartz movement.

Maintenance

Care and Cleaning

  • Cleaning: To clean your watch, wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure the watch is completely dry afterwards. Do not use chemical cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Replacement: The watch uses 1 Lithium Ion battery (included). When the watch stops running, it indicates the battery needs replacement. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watchmaker or service center to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store your watch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The original watch box is ideal for storage.
  • Regular Checks: It is recommended to have your watch inspected by a professional watchmaker every 2-3 years to check the battery, seals, and overall movement condition.
