1. Introduction

The Airfrex AIUS is a compact and lightweight Bluetooth audio transmitter designed to wirelessly stream audio from non-Bluetooth devices to Bluetooth-enabled headphones or speakers. It features a CSR Bluetooth chipset for easy pairing, a built-in battery offering approximately 10 hours of use, and supports charging during operation. Its versatile connectivity options, including a 3.5mm male jack and an included RCA to 3.5mm converting cable, make it compatible with a wide range of audio sources such as MP3 players, Walkmans, gaming consoles (PS4, Nintendo Switch), TVs, CD/DVD players, and home theater systems.

3. Product Overview

The Airfrex AIUS features a minimalist design with essential components for easy operation.

• 3.5mm Audio Jack: Used to connect the transmitter to your audio source (e.g., MP3 player, TV).

4. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the Airfrex AIUS. The device can be used while charging.

1. Connect the small end of the included USB charging cable to the Micro USB port on the Airfrex AIUS.
2. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
3. The LED indicator will show charging status (e.g., red while charging, off when fully charged).
4. A full charge typically takes approximately 1-2 hours and provides about 10 hours of usage.

5. Setup and Pairing

Follow these steps to connect your Airfrex AIUS to your audio source and Bluetooth receiving device.

5.1 Connecting to an Audio Source

The Airfrex AIUS connects to your audio source via its 3.5mm audio jack.

• For devices with a 3.5mm audio output (e.g., MP3 player, Walkman, Nintendo Switch, PS4 controller, laptop, phone): Directly plug the 3.5mm male jack of the Airfrex AIUS into the device's 3.5mm audio output port.
• For devices with RCA audio output (e.g., TV, CD player, DVD player, home stereo): Use the included RCA to 3.5mm converting cable. Connect the RCA ends to the audio output ports (red for right, white for left) of your device, then plug the 3.5mm end of the cable into the Airfrex AIUS.

5.2 Pairing with Bluetooth Headphones or Speakers

The Airfrex AIUS uses a CSR Bluetooth chipset for easy and stable pairing.

1. Power On: Press and hold the multi-function button on the Airfrex AIUS for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly (e.g., blue or red/blue alternating), indicating it's in pairing mode.
2. Activate Pairing Mode on Receiving Device: Put your Bluetooth headphones or speaker into pairing mode. Refer to your device's manual for specific instructions (this usually involves pressing and holding a Bluetooth or power button until an LED flashes).
3. Connect: Place the Airfrex AIUS and your Bluetooth receiving device close to each other (within 1 meter). They should automatically connect within a few seconds.
4. Confirmation: Once connected, the LED indicator on the Airfrex AIUS will change to a steady light (e.g., solid blue) or flash slowly, and your Bluetooth headphones/speaker may provide an audible confirmation.

Note: If pairing fails, turn off both devices, then repeat the steps. Ensure no other Bluetooth devices are in pairing mode nearby that might interfere.

6. Operation

Once paired, the Airfrex AIUS will transmit audio from your connected source to your Bluetooth headphones or speaker.

• Audio Playback: Start playing audio on your source device (e.g., MP3 player, TV). The sound will be wirelessly transmitted to your paired Bluetooth device.
• Volume Control: Adjust the volume directly on your Bluetooth headphones or speaker, or on the audio source device. The Airfrex AIUS does not have its own volume controls.
• Automatic Reconnection: After initial pairing, the Airfrex AIUS will attempt to automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on and within range.
• Power Off: Press and hold the multi-function button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicator turns off.
